Good to have you back!
On the steam deck vs switch 2, DH bought a steam deck for himself and is loving it. There's so much variety in the games and they're so much cheaper. I'm very jealous and may have to get one for myself!Starting Mortgage Balance (June 2019) £72,000. Mortgage Free November 2025!1 -
Hi guys! I am honestly surprised anyone remembers me I've been gone so long! I'm trying to skim read your diaries to catch up. I'm currently on Christmas in ngs diary.Astros does actually bring me the toys to throw most of the time! In fact I will often wake up to a little poke and a toy in my bed with him very expectant! The idea of someone running back and forth is hilarious though!Something I forgot to mention last night is my mum retired. Sadly she didn't get to go to her retirement party because of my brother, but she got lots of well wishes and she gets all the gossip still.
Brother is recovering still. He has nerve damage and reduce lung ... Capacity? Is that a thing? Do you know what I'm trying to say? Biggest thing is what it's done to him mentally.
Don't know if anyone is interested but I am so I'm going to talk about it. The state of Pokémon cards is so sad right now. A booster pack should not be selling for crazy money. I love Pokémon, I have a small card collection but spending thousands just to get a few packs is nuts. Obviously there will a always be the expensive cards but the cards having to be locked up and physical fights breaking out just gives the entire thing a bad taste. My friend who has been collecting for decades is considering selling everything because it's no longer fun to be part of the community. My nephew loves the cards but he can't open any because they're so hard to get at a price close to RRP.1 -
Ooh - I didn't realise they'd gone up so much - maybe its time for DS1 to part with some of his collection...I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200

That doesn't narrow it down, it's always Christmas in there 😅killerpeaty said:I'm currently on Christmas in ngs diary.Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

It really depends on what they are and if you've got luck on your side. I've been watching pokesellers (they're actually really wholesome) and they're finding that some cards are changing price so quickly that they have to check every time they sell a card because things go up and down so quickly. My brother sold a card last year (I think, when did surging sparks come out?) for £500. Most cards are worth pennies. Pokémon has a game being released in the next week I think so cards are going wild for that as well.greent said:Ooh - I didn't realise they'd gone up so much - maybe its time for DS1 to part with some of his collection...
The Pokémon company has actually opened more factories to print more cards in various languages. Hopefully the market should cool down soon because it stops people from getting into the hobby and pushes others out. However it will affect the US earlier than us, we don't get to get reprints as easily.
Although, I do kinda want to collect my favourite Pokémon in different languages. Just think it would cool to have drowzee/hypno from all around the world.1 -
Just found out that the company is moving out of the factory unit and we are waiting to find out what happensSouth_coast said:

I have spoken to the doctor and I have two bacterial infections and a viral infection. This explains why I'm so ill. Been taking antibiotics for a couple of days so been in bed for most of it.
My cat has been keeping me company. Currently we are playing fetch with a hairband. But he is getting bored so I have a few scratches from where he wants to play. He's an indoor cat because I don't have a garden for him, just a yard which isn't really big enough to be his home base.
I am behind at work but I'm sure I will catch up. I actually didn't volunteer for work this week which might be a first.
Playing the new Pokémon game! It is playing a lot more closely to a Digimon story style game to a Pokémon game. I mean that there are chapters and a lot of dialogue, which is interesting but not expected. I enjoy Digimon story games, in fact Digimon cybersleuth is possibly my favourite game ever. It's just hard to get into when you're expecting something very different.
My flat is a mess but I do not have the energy so I've been in bed for the last two days. Hoping once these antibiotics are done I will have the energy.
Making a nessie at the moment. If I ever finish it then I'll post a picture.3 -
