Haven't killed mum yet! Yesterday she claimed to be incapable if plugging in her own phone. No idea why, she always has been able in the past!
We went to Hobbiton and the glowworm caves yesterday (it's currently around 5am). It was this package where we get picked up, driven to Hobbiton, ticket is arranged for us, driven to get lunch, lunch was included (also very nice), ticket to the caves, then driven back. It was about £500 for the two of us and it was so worth it. The driver was telling us facts on the bus and sorting out any issues, rounding us up to keep us on time. You can actually go around inside a Hobbit house now, it was incredible with all the detail.
You're not really allowed to take pictures inside the caves but they were magic. I can't express how eerie and beautiful they were.6 -
Hobbit house looks so cute! Are they the glowworm type caves? I've seen them on YT - very envious! It sounds like you're having an amazing time. Sometimes it's definitely worth spending the money for a 'premium' experienceMortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I'm in Dunedin right now. We tried to book a car to drive to Queenstown but left it too late. So tomorrow we will be on the bus.
Last night we did the ghost tour. It was excellent, the guy is like one of those paranormal investigators from tv shows. Really enjoyed it. He asked us if we believed, I said no but I do like to walk them and he said that's the title of his next book lol.2 -
The bus was very successful! The scenery was just incredible.
Mum wanted to book something else so now we are going on a tour around one of the parks tomorrow which will be the day after for you. Or me. Time zones are very confusing.
I'm shattered, enjoying myself but shattered!
Today is supposed to be the jet boat and helicopter but it was very windy and rainy last night so I feel like the helicopter is out.6 -
So annoyed at myself. I missed our helicopter flight for no reason other than I was certain the boat was first. Basically lost £350 because I got confused. The people are very nice and I apologised for my silliness.
But I've had a good day! Currently I'm in Queenstown, it's very very touristy. I've been going into every gift/souvenir shop and it's just magnificent with all the things you can buy. Also went on the jet boat. It was incredible and beautiful and fun.

January to-do
Book final 3 nights for NZ, car hire and get the not-visas
Check surveys once a day
Start a self maintenance routine, take better care of my skin, teeth and hair
Batch cook for the week each week
Start decluttering, starting with that cardboard thing I've been meaning to cut up to put into recycling.
NZ bookings almost got done, I tried to book the car while we were there and whoops! Got the bus instead.
Surveys-could do better.
Self-care - started, need to improve but small improvements are the way to go I think
Batch cooking I think I did once...
Decluttering did not happen. But I did get rid of the cardboard.
Last part of Feb to-do
Sort out money! My credit card has taken a hammering so I need to pay off some before the month ends. Also need to get my NZ money back to UK money.
Check surveys everyday
Self maintenance- teeth, hair and skin care need to be improved. The skin care needs to be at least twice a week I think and I need to use the night cream again. Also want to add at least 10 minutes of exercise each day.
2 hours of cpd
No batch cooking or decluttering goals because I'm in a fair amount of pain and want to give myself the space to recover.
