So.. my plans might have changed.
Tomorrow we are going to get kittens!
KITTENS!
We all love cats as a family, we lost our lovely little old lady back in September. She waited until we went on holiday to pass away, that little nightmare. She was 21 years old when she passed, she was happy if a little loopy at the end and we have missed having a little friend. After my uncle died, it sort of pushed us to advance the looking for a cat but it's been remarkably hard to find one because they go within minutes, today I got the call I've been waiting for.
Also sanding my walls has been harder than I expected so I need to take breaks. Madness.
Also I couldn't get the paint I wanted today.
BUT NONE OF THAT MATTERS BECAUSE KITTENS!6 -

They came home yesterday. I have this week off as already said so I'm hanging out with them. We haven't named them yet as we want to see what suits. They're so tiny and pretty and I have not been this happy in a long time.
Went out a couple of hours ago to get them some toys and ended up going to a local cafe. I really like the cafe and want it to survive so thought it would be worth the risk just to support it. It was weird though, I didn't realise that cafes and restaurants need to take your name and number when you go to them.
Better do some tidying instead of just playing with tiny cats.6 -
Congratulations on the new arrivals! Keep us postedChoose kind3

I have debated uploading pictures, I am a bit worried that they can be used to identify me and I like that I can talk about anything on this diary. However, they're only black and white so I feel I'm being a little paranoid!

I will however delete if I get any more paranoid about it. I love the one where one has fallen asleep upright
Didn't manage to get much done in my week off, but my credit card is under 1k! I will up my payment back to £100 from next month and start paying mum for the sofa. No quote from the last builder either, this is getting really frustrating. I think it's because I only have a small job but it's leaking and I need it fixed!
Been thinking about potentially getting a new hobby of doing up old furniture. I want to do this for my own stuff, but if I enjoy it I think it would be good to have this as a hands on hobby. I would sell some pieces to keep the costs down. I've been really enjoying the research and the transformation videos.3 -
I'm so excited, payday is tomorrow! I've probably already spent it on the kittens though. It's my first full salary in like... ever. Cannot wait!
Work has been a bit of a nightmare, don't want to go into too much detail but now that we are all going to be in the office at the same time, there is a lot of bickering about who is sitting where. Genuinely exhausting. Also am a bit annoyed at my manager for having no manners. I've been having problems walking because I haven't been practising during lock down, in my case it is use it or lose it. I mentioned that to my colleagues and my manager reacted by showing me her fitbit so I could see how many steps she's taken. Just sort of seemed rude to rub that kind of thing in my face. I wanted to rant, it isn't actually a real issue.

I wondered what had happened to my phone that I purchased, so on Friday I called up and asked. Apparently the company they sub contract that part to hadn't communicated to the company I bought through and the phone isn't stocked any more. Gutted because I really need this phone and I really don't have a lot of money because I appear to be bleeding cash at the moment. I mean, with everything that has happened since March, I'm not surprised something has slipped through the net but they were all very lovely and are refunding me.
Yesterday I went through some of my uncle's clothes and now I'm working on washing two bin bags worth of things to donate. My mum and uncle find it too upsetting and I'm the only one really available to do it. Did however find my mum's wedding dress and so many gifts meant for us.
I will do a quick sand in my bathroom and hopefully lay down.
I really need a toolbox, what is a good price for a toolbox? Do not know at all.
Thinking about dating again, it's been like a year since my last break up, not because I was upset... I just really hate dating. It's so repetitive and dull. Might just hang out with the cats instead. Who are gorgeous and total nightmares as expected. But it's the investment into the cats we will get, they will be raised the way we want.
Also, don't know if anyone is interested, there's a programme called Poor Bride, Rich Bride on youtube. It's very money focused which is really interesting because it shows how couples interact.3 -
Busy time, work has been a bit of a nightmare!
Been to my uncle's house yesterday and removed 3 more bags of mainly sheets and blankets. Hoping that a charity will accept them as they are mostly handmade and lovely but not for us. It's remarkable how you can know something is there for all of your life and have never looked at it. The blanket box with all the toys in it from my childhood is a stunning wooden trunk with a seat on top (is that an ottoman?) with lovely detailing and made from solid wood. I would like to have it, hopefully no one else wants it.
The kittens are little nightmares, I love them. One loves the ironing pile but does not attack the evil spiders which appeared suddenly today.
Need to do my banking, but I might be melting. Might be back later with a financial update. Might have melted by that point.4
