are you sure you can use the k530i with skype? i cant seems to find any info on the three website. i dont have a k530i but got a k800i. if skype can work on a k800i, that would be great as i am on the monthly plan.

My Orange contract via e2save has expired and as I only missed one claim deadline for cash-back so suppose been lucky when other claims honoured.
Now looking for a 'share minute/text deal' for wife and self as she tends to do more calls and exceeds her allocation. Would prefer an automatic cashback deal if possible - any ideas/suggestions please ?
CPH offered a 'Skype phone 3' deal for 300 mins EACH (calls and texts) mix'n'match for £15 each per month with an 18 month contract. No cash-back deals available on this low cost plan though.
Does anyone know of this scheme and any experience of the 'mobile skype' phones and network - is the system any good (I believe 02 takes up poor reception areas)
Does anyone know of other 'mix'n'match' deals available with an auto cashback scheme available please ?
Any tips/suggestions appreciated (and apologies if I have missed similar threads previously)

Not related to 3, but you should also check out https://www.fring.com. Their app is free and allows use of Skype, MSN, ICQ, AIM, Yahoo and also regular SIP-based providers from one application. I use this with my data service on T-Mobile, and it works fantastically even in areas where I only have GPRS coverage.

Just thought it might be useful for those that are only considering moving to 3 for Skype in particular. Bear in mind that you'll need a data package, but if you're going to use net calling a lot it might be worth the cost and then use the app for free.

  • HI All
I am looking into a new mobile & signing up to skype and this made look into a deal 3 have got with a skype mobile phone. Looks like some good packages - I mainly call my husband and I'm sure he won't mind changing phones (we are both currently on vodaphone).

You can use it as a mobile but also use skype anywhere (still not sure how) to other skype users. THerefore the more people who sign up, then we could get free calls - no? OR am i missing the point???

Any advice/experience would be great - thanks.

    ;)
Always ASK for £2 coins and then vow to save them straight away ;)

For anyone who uses Skype calling on 3 now - what's the quality and availability of Skype calls like? My wife and I are going to get new PAYG deals and as almost all calls will be be to each other the Skype plan sounds good as it would only cost us £10 a month each. However, I'd need reassurance that the calls over Skype are just as good as normal mobile calls.

    thanks

If you just want skype, three.co.uk are currently doing a £12 promotional tariff thqat gives you a free skypephone plus 100 mins/texts a month.
