I would imagine that if your plumber sees you flogging his property on ebay, you may find yourself getting arrested.

Also you may find your ebay account getting closed.

Have you tried telephoning your missing plumber?

Two things...you are going to be scammed yet again, believe me. Paypal on a collected item....I have been ranting about seller who are naive enough to do this all week and you are about to be another victim of it.

Lastly, ebay are very likely to pull your account and if they don't then as Dave Brooker says your plumber has a good case against you.

Don't be daft get this sorted before either you end up in court or get scammed yet again.

  • Oh hes fully aware of what im doing. i told him 2 weeks ago that i was going to sell it on ebay, he even sent someone round to finish off the job, but even he gave up after 20 mins and done a runner. i wouldnt mind, but the work he done to date is very good. and he only had a few bits left to do.

as for why he wont finish the job i dont know. he refuses to speak with me now.

Ive given him plenty of oppertunity to collect the saw, so as he's not collected it it now belongs to me.

    In summary...

Buyer pays you by PayPal, comes and collects, then files a dispute that he/she never received the item.

You have no proof i.e. delivery slip as he/she collected it. So the buyer gets their money back and in this case a free saw.

Yep they're both right. Have to be really careful as both ebay and paypal don't want to know if you don't have proof of recorded delivery, even if they've left you fantatic feedback. And they can claim back quite some time afterwards, too. I got scammed like that.

On one thread here someone was saying that as this type of situation put their paypal account into a minus amount, they ended up with debt collectors on their doorstep eventually.
