.. oh i did leave paypal up. never had problem with it before..
Gary, I have never been mugged before. That does not stop me being careful about where and when I walk.

If you continue to offer Paypal on the collection of high value items, you will eventually get scammed.

Scammers probably trawl ebay looking for sellers listing high value items and accepting Paypal.

Do yourself a favour and take the very good advice that Soolin and others are offering. :)

Cash on collection will not deter a serious buyer.
  • If he's not bothered about the saw it might be because it's not his, then there would be a right mess if you sold it.
  • Just reading this thread. i probabley shouldn't be but I am finding some of the comebacks quite amusing. BUT It absolutely never occured to me about cash on collection V pay pal - I too have advertised - it has never happened because I only gave the collection as an option but thanks because I won't be in future. Amazing what you learn here!:T

Don't worry, it never occurs to innumerable other eBay sellers.

There's even a breed which for reasons beyond anyone's comprehension actually sell their family car via PayPal.

I mean. . . how daft can you get????
