Partner went to new house without me

Yeah I thought as much but you know that little trouble making voice in your head can be very convincing.
Indeed. Tell it that its opinion isn't valued and it can do one.
Would you choose in your heart to be angry over something like that? I suspect you wouldn't.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I would divide the house in half and never talk again.
Make sure you get the half with the bathroom and kitchen. You don't want to have to be pooing in the garden.0 -
I can kind of understand where the OP is coming from. I took a day off to pick up the keys to our new house and then waited 5 hours for my partner to finish work before we went to the house together. I could have gone sooner but I wanted us both to go together so we could experience the moment of walking into our new house and being all excited about exploring it for the first time.
If my partner had visited the house before me, I would have been a little disappointed but I would have gotten over it quickly and wouldn't hold it against him.0 -
I didn't even see our house before buying it, first time was the day I moved in...second time this has happened :-)0

No one can tell you how to feel and no one cares0

I'd have loved my missus to get the keys and go before me. She's not that daft, we knew there was a lot of work . .0

I think you want the relationships board, not the housebuying one.0

Surely this is a breach of your human rights. Consult a lawyer as soon as.0

Some people are more emotional about these things and some are just 100% practical.
I'm guessing you're the former and your partner the latter.
It probably didn't even register on their "emotional" radar.
Unless they promised you'd do it together and renaged....let it go!!How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0
