The omission of the details of the premium rate call charges continues to breach Ofcom regulations in force since 1 July 2015.

This should be reported to Trading Standards.

Now I have received 'demand for payment' with increased penalty £160. They demand me to clear the debt in 14 days.

    Any advice please?

Who is 'they' in this instance?

What 'debt'? You do not owe anybody anything until a Judge says so.

Sounds like a debt collectors letter to me and post #4 of the NEWBIES thread has good guidance on how to deal with those.

Did you notice what Ian011 and The Deep had to say in their most recent posts?

    Thanks @KeithP.

The letter was sent by VCS's Debt Management Team.

The letter did threaten to 'take me to court in relation to the debt' if I fail to clear it in time (by 24/10/2019).

I should ignore it by the advice given the NEWBIES then.

Correct , as it doesn't give 30 days notice and doesn't include the financial forms

But you should still make the complaints that you were told to

Follow the guide to court written by bargepole that you will find in post 2 of the NEWBIES.

Deal with it as per the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #2.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
