NON-STOP PCN from Southend Airport ******* Case Dismissed, Now VCS appealing ********

I would. You can refer to a High Court case on the day and the Judge can look it up but make sure you give the neutral citation number to the HHJ Hegarty decision at High Court level and not the one for the Court of Appeal (a different hearing transcript).
I would not give them a chance to fire off yet another WS to rebut yours. Judges don't appreciate that sort of WS tennis anyway.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you @Coupon-mad!
The previous judge asked me to send them my updated cost if I wish. My case has been rejourned 3 times. My cost is now over £1000. I hope it's OK0 -
You absolutely file that costs assessment, and you do THAT and ONLY that in advance of the hearing. MUST do so.
Show us how you have broken it down. it is not ok to just have gross figures, as you will not get that agreed.3 -
Thanks. Here it is:
Ordinary Cost
Loss of earnings/leave, incurred through attendance at Count on 06/10/2020, 10/11/2020, 30/11/2021 - £200.00 * 3 = £600.00
Sub Total - £600.00
Further costs for Claimant's unreasonable behaviour, pursuant to Civil Procedure Rule 27.14(2)(g)
Research, preparation and drafting of documents (24 hours at Litigant in Person rate of £19.00 per hour) - £456.00
Stationery, printing, photocopying and postage - £24.00
Sub Total - £480.00
£ Total Costs Claimed - £1080.00

You know you cannot claim £200 per day.
Nowhere will you find that figuure. Nowhere
You know that according to the CPRs it is UP TO £95. Nothing more.
Research, preparation and drafting of documents (24 hours at Litigant in Person rate of £19.00 per hour) - £456.00
- break this down into the obvious steps following a claim, so defence, collating exhbits, writing WS etc. Assign a figure to each5 -
You will also need to provide proof of
- loss of pay
- loss of leave
to support the £954 -

This fight is purely on principle. It's not worth my time at all.
If £95 is the maximum I'll update it accordingly. My original calculation was £200 for one hearing though.
Can I just throw a big number and let the judge decide?1 -
Of course it is based on your wage! It is to compensate loss, so the amount of loss is needed. If that is above £95 then the cap kicks in.
Your calc didnt take into account that cap, meaning you can never claim more than £95, even if you earn £150000 a day
You can of course do whatever you like, but I'm telling you a) wat the actusal rules are and b) strategy to mean that if they disagree with you massive figurte, you might get some of it - which I thought was obvious!
If you say "I want £5000" and the court says no, theyre not likely to come to an intermediate figure. They jkust deny itr.
If you instead say "I want a total of £5000, broken down in.,,.,..," they might go - well we cant see how that was worth £1000 but £500 seems fine. That section you wanted £2000 for, £1500 seems fair. And so on.,

My 3rd hearing is going to be held tomorrow.
Helped by google, It seems Southend Airport has changed its markings and signs.
1) Red -- > Yellow
2) Byelaws is now written in signs
Does this mean my case has no ground at all?
