I doubt our house will ever get as cold as 16c even without the heating on!0 -

Longer than I would have hoped. However, as it is actually warm and powerful, however long it takes to recoup, is outweighed by the fact that it is actually a pleasure to have a shower.
But now my electricity has just been renewed, you can add around an extra £10 on my savings. Cost (including fitting) £160. Savings around £30 a year.0 -

So over 5 years to pay for itself!
We love our electric shower. It is very powerful and hot.
That said we are considering getting a shower put over the bath in the main bathroom as currently our only shower is in the en suite which isn't ideal when we have guests over to stay. This second shower would run from the combi boiler due to it being difficult to get electric where it would be needed in the bathroom to power an electric shower.0 -

The only trouble with a shower on a combi is if someone runs the hot tap elsewhere (kitchen) then the flow will reduce.0 -
