Good luck for this evening kathrynha. It seems like a quick week since you rejoined your group.:)

I suppose it's what you're used to denise. Some people seem to manage with no plan at all. I've always done weekly but that's mainly for the main meat of the day and then I can change the veg to accommodate the Super 6. Breakfasts and lunches, I just make sure I have a range of ingredients available. It's probably different for you as you make lunch for 2 while I can manage with LO for just me. There don't seem to be that many YS bargains around lately:(. The other thing I would find hard is to manage without any HM ready meals. I always plan at least one into a week either for a busy day or it's the one that can stay in the freezer if something comes up. My plan/shop day is usually a Friday and that's always a meal that involves using up any fresh stuff I have in.:)

I plan to nip to Tesco later. It's not a shop I use often but they have the best value tagliatelle ([STRIKE]50p[/STRIKE] 55p just noticed it's gone up by 10%) and we eat that a lot. I'm also running short of coffee. I rarely drink it at home but with the builders in recently we've used loads!:)

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, baked beans (F) HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, 2 fried eggs (P)
L: ham (P) fried LO veg and pickles (S)
D: Co-op Mexican chicken (P), SW chips (F) runner beans, asparagus, mushrooms (S)
    Syns: 0

Thanks Maman. I do try to use Tesco's cheap veg and Aldi's when I can get there. Actually needed to do a shop this morning as I had a £5 off £20 for Iceland so popped into Tesco too. Managed to pick up a YS broccoli head for 19p! and a nice cauliflower for59p which I thought was a good price. So already a change of plan for tomorrow night's dinner! Now going to have a cauliflower cheese; and will have the broccoli with dinner tonight.

I generally do my main shop on a Thursday after group as the group is just round the corner from Tesco's! My nearest town is 8 miles away which is where I go when I do my main shop. If I need a top up shop I generally pop to Iceland as it's a mile or so closer and there is also a B&M & Poundland nearby. Picked up some Hartleys SF jelly crystals in B&M for 49p which is cheaper than Tesco's.

Must admit we don't have pasta very often as I prefer rice but DH has moaned a bit about that lately and has asked for some pasta! Need to plan that in next week, LOL!

I'm with you on the HM ready meals. I generally have quite a few in the freezer, things like curry and stews as well as soups for lunches. Made some carrot and lentil yesterday to put in the freezer as had some left which needed using before getting too limp!
I found we got through masses of coffee when we had the builders in at the beginning of the year and he had expensive tastes! We had bought some more expensive coffee which had been recommended by a friend and he absolutely loved it so ended up having to buy more! We don't generally drink instant coffee as we have a bean to cup machine which is actually the only coffee I drink and not very often.

Enough of an essay for now!

Hello everyone. I've actually had to do work, so a bit late on here.

    My plan today is:-

    B - coffee (hea1), watermelon (s), grapes (f), banana (f)

    S - 2 x boiled eggs (p)

    L - LO Cajun dirty rice (s, f, p)
Mullerlight (didn't eat it yesterday - blueberry muffin one) (0.5)

    D - LO spag bol (2.0)

    S - Alpen Bars x 2 (heb)
    Babybel Light x 2 (hea2) (even I can't bring myself to bring 3 in a go!).
    Tea x 3 (hea1)

Somebody posted about the CoOp meals being syn free. My little local shop is a CoOp, so might pop in on way home. Is it:-

Co-Op Lamb Shoulder with Mint Gravy, and
    Co-Op Mexican Half Chicken

that I should be looking for? The ones that are 2 for £7. Might do for a quick meal when girls aren't around? Are they freezable (or already from the freezer)?

Pollyanna it was Maman who posted about the Co-op meals. She said the Mexican half chicken was Free.

I've checked the app for the Lamb shoulder one but it didn't come up when I searched. I wouldn't have thought that one would be Free because lamb is a fatty meat particularly the shoulder.

I put the lamb and the chicken through the syn calculator and both came up free. They're chilled (in my shop on the end of the aisle with the offers) so fine for home freezing. :)

Do try to get some more Speed in pollyanna . Maybe some berries or even apples or satsumas instead of grapes and bananas would help. You're supposed to have at least a third of all your food as Speed. It can only 'speed' up your weightloss. :)

Pleased that the tagliatelle was still 50p in Tesco so the shop hasn't caught up with the online price increase... yet.

Well done on all the losses everyone!! I have been enjoying the figs from Sains at 75p for 4 and Tesco’s was it 39p for 4 last week? Put some in my trolley today in Tesco, no price to be seen, they came up at £2 :mad::mad:. Didn’t buy them!

Had my 3 day wedding in Devon to go to last w/e, which was one of the big reasons to join SW last Jan. I didn’t want to be the big lady in the photographs. So pleased I got my 5st award last week, but now need something else to focus on as to not lose momentum. I guess I am aiming to lose 6st by Christmas and see what size that makes me and where my BMI is by then. It is still not healthy.

But felt pretty good in my Hobbs dress at the wedding. Enjoyed myself, bride and venue were spectacular, food was very nice, didn’t go crazy but enjoyed real Eton Mess; heaven :o. And still lost 1lb today :T, so I am very happy!

OH about to jet off to Rock in Rio, so just me til at least the w/e, and this week I would love to lose 3lb to get a new number in front. We shall see.

Made the Easy Chicken Curry from the website recently which we really enjoyed. And have been eating so many tomatoes from MIL’s garden, very speedy :D. Tonight is Sweet &Sour Chicken from one of the SW books, plus some celebratory chocolate which is becoming a bit of a habit on WI day. Am still recording all food on my own food diary to keep tabs, it seems to work for me. Made some version of baked oats with mini shredded wheats, apple and mixed spice. You end up with 6 little cakes as your HEb. I rather have those than 2 slices of bread any day :rotfl:.

    Poundsinbucks x :):):)
    🥳🥳 SW -6st 3.5lbs 🥳🥳
