Corbyn has agreed to a GE once no deal has been taken off the table. He's also proposing putting Brexit back to the people, now we have a better idea of what's involved. That almost sounds democratic to me.
Yes like I say, a GE is the wrong kind of democracy for Jeremy.
I thought democracy was about giving people a choice. Yet it sounds a lot like the Corbyn version is about denying those who might want no deal any choice at all.
How very inclusive of the chap!0 -

Cheers.
To assist yours
Netherlands: $674.5 million (5%) - ROTTERDAM
Germany: $236.1 million (1.7%) - HAMBURG
Belgium: $956.3 million (7%) - ANTWERP
What do these places have in common?
PS. Austria would struggle to import Bananas.0 -

I feel like we're going round in circles, we can go back to talking about sterling and WTO quotas.
It appears nobody has done enough to explain why there would be a reduction to access of fresh food, probably because the government realizes it would hurt their negotiation.
It's not limited to EU originated food.0 -

Alternatively the GE is to allow the public the choice whilst it's still a choice. Having a GE right now means that we'll likely leave before there's any option to see if it's what the public want.
If enough people want a no deal in a referendum, then Corbyn will be compelled to seek a no deal.0 -

Right, I feel like nobody has done enough to point out how long it took after the last election before government was formed. If the same thing happened again (and it looks very much like it could) the conservatives could refuse to enter a coalition and then there would be nobody to negotiate or agree anything with the EU.
I don't think Boris was expecting parliament to vote for an election, it was a bluff so he could say he offered.0 -
