    Did I say otherwise.
So if they believe leaving EU is catastrophic why did they vote to hold referendum, no excuses I'm afraid it's every remain supporting MP Labour or Tory that voted to hold referendum fault.

Because people do stupid things and then hopefully learn from their mistakes. It's an important part of being human.

If a democracy cannot change its mind, it ceases to be a democracy.

You can't just single out the remain supporting MP's, the leave supporting MP's are at fault too.

Doesn't leave many MP's in the HoC then.

To late for them to learn from their mistake, their main mistake was being out of touch with people who elected them, as far as I can see that hasn't changed.

I can single out remain supporting MPs, leave supporting MPs believe we will be better off outside EU, whether that is right or wrong, the only way they could achieve that was to vote to hold referendum.

You realise that not everyone voted? Just because 52% of people who voted in the referendum voted that way, doesn't mean much as the MPs have to represent even those people who didn't or couldn't vote in the referendum.

Once we leave then the majority will complain that MPs didn't do enough to stop us leaving. Guaranteed. All the leave voters in their little bubbles will soon realise.

You are missing point entirely, they would not have called referendum if they new the strength of feeling against EU and as far as I can see they are still unaware.

Indeed. It was only called to try and keep the Tory party together.

That explains why Cameron called it but not who Labour supported it.

That's because the "It was only called to try and keep the Tory party together" theory is a load of cobblers, Cameron called it because he knew that if he didn't then UKIP would upend British politics.

Cameron didn't call it out of some altruistic desire to save British politics. It was to try and save the Tories from themselves when the Europe goggles went on.

In some ways it was successful (first Tory majority since 1996) in other ways less so (you weren't meant to go and vote to leave the EU).
