If you live at your Nan's not at your Mum's why haven't you changed addresses? As you're not sure about the electoral roll then i assume you haven't done that either.

Bank is registered to Mums.
I will change it over.
In the meantime what do I respond to the letter, as its asking for evidence and is threatening to remove the discount and backdate discount from what they have on their records. Mum is really worried0 -
I haven't changed my addresses because I don't get any paperwork, everything is online0

Your right but there is no incentive, I can just log on to any website and get access to everything. If couldn't see my bank statement unless it was sent via letter then I'd have changed it.
Any advice on how to respond to the councils letter0 -

You also need to quickly find out where you are registered to vote, if indeed you are on the electoral register. Both your mum and gran should receive a form each year asking them to confirm who lives at the address and who is eligible to vote. Both should have noted if your name is / isn't on the form they received.0 -
Is your nan getting means tested benefits such as Council Tax Reduction that might be affected by you living there?
Do you also have a driving license? Car insurance? If so have you changed address for those?
If you haven't changed your address for anything then you may have difficulty proving you no longer live with your Mum.0 -
Means tested benefits, no idea? Car insurance at nans.
I will be moving in to my mums in a few months, should I just tell my mum to write a letter stating I am currently now living at home and to update the records?
Will lewisham council want back payments from my mum for the last 6 odd years? This is the biggest concern right now!0 -
Agree with Poppy you have put your mum in a bad position and its likely that she will lose the discount and have to make some back payments, and as it will basically have been your fault it would be the right thing to do to pay yourself whatever they ask her to pay.
I know thats not what you want to hear but my DD's ex found himself in the same position last year and had to re-pay a sizeable amount.0 -
Thanks for the advice,
In that case may aswell just say I moved back in a few weeks ago and can you please update the records... and hope for the best0
