I cooked lasagne in the slow cooker today. I do a vegetarian one with cheese sauce, and there's no need to pre-cook any of the vegetables, just add in the raw vegetables mixed in with the lasagne sheets, and add cheese sauce and cheese on top.  A one portion amount in a small slow cooker is perfect - eat straight out of the cooker bowl!

I put a chicken casserole in the slow cooker .. not somthing I would usually do (i am plant based but not ethical vegan). I am currently furloughed, and hubby and brother both in the house working (longer than usual hours) from home. I feel it is my job to feed the home workers - hence the cassorole- it is a bit veg heavy as I could only get 1 small pack of chicken breasts. But they help themseves tommorow and i portion up the rest to freeze - including making sure chicken is evenly distributed, should have about 8 portions.

I also made a chicken casserole, 3 large skinless, boneless chicken thighs with mushrooms, celery, carrots and some parsnip produced 3 portions for us, 2 standard size and a small one for me, it was delicious with potato and swede mash and broccoli.

Chicken carcass, bits of veg & water to make chicken stock.  Will probably use to make soup of some sort this week.

Huge batch of chilli in mine today, will portion it up and freeze some.
Made chicken stock in the SC the other day too so have lots of stick frozen now to use in curries and soups.

I'm  using a large slow cooker, and the lid hasn't  got a very tight seal which lets out too much heat. Has anyone any ideas on how to remedy this please ?
    Thanks.

Mine doesn't have a tight seal either but I find the food cooks fine, although we very rarely eat the food as soon as it's cooked.  I leave it to cool and then portion for the freezer so when we come to eat it just have to make sure that it is reheated until it's piping hot.

Try putting a dry tea towel over the top.
