It would be like buying a 30 day subscription and the company suspending services 2 days before the end - the fact you didn't use them for the first 3 weeks wouldn't entitle you to more of a refund than someone who had.

Well it’s certainly not WRONG.
It is when you make people belive they are entitled to a goodwill gesture.That may well be the legal standpoint but you can always negotiate a goodwill gesture if the early closing really affects you.
You can ask, they can say no. You can't just expect one.0
