Right hand land on roundabouts

If theres one lane on approach then there is 1 lane on it. Doesn't stop people sometimes trying to turn it into two though.
12 o'clock or before, left lane. After 12, right lane. Unless marked otherwise, then as marked.
If you end up in the wrong lane, just take the wrong exit and find somewhere quiet to turn around then come back and try again. Better an extra minute or two of driving than 20 mins changing details and potentially a lot more time disputing liability. You keep using that word. Approach from a distance in A134 (showing sign).

Road markings at roundabout show both lanes straight on on A134; only the left lane also shows left turn (1st exit into institute).

On the roundabout, both lanes show straight on (2nd exit) A134, right lane also has right arrow (to continue around).

The road markings are also visible from the satellite view.

Based on the road markings, you use both lanes if approaching on the 2-lane dual carriageway A134 and taking the 2nd exit onto the 2-lane dual carriageway A134.0 -

There’s a roundabout near me, which I use every day on the way home from work. It has 3 lanes on the approach, there are 3 exits, left, straight over, and right.
Almost every single driver who approaches it via the left lane, goes straight over. Meaning that those of us in the middle lane, have to watch really carefully while the idiots cut in front of us when trying to exit.
Another roundabout on the same road, has a two-lane exit but it currently has roadworks at the end, meaning that the two lanes filter into one. I can’t tell you how many drivers drift along, straddling two lanes, just in case anyone tries to overtake them before the road narrows. I drive a tiny car, so I am sometimes able to drive up alongside them, but I usually get beeped at, unfortunately, yelling “it’s two lanes, are you blind?” doesn’t tend to get a favourable response!"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0 -
I can think of one slip road down to a roundabout near me where the left hand lane is marked left and right and the right hand lane is marked right.
This is obviously because the majority of the traffic is turning right.
Yet you get all the dipsticks who enter in the right hand lane trying to change lanes on the roundabout instead of after they have exited it.
I drive all day every day and see hundreds of dodgy manouvers all the time.....it would seem most drivers haven't got a clue.
In answer to the original poster I would say that whilst it might be generally accepted if your in the right hand lane that your turning right, what do the road markings say ?0 -
If it's wide enough for two lanes, treat it as such.unholyangel wrote: »If theres one lane on approach then there is 1 lane on it.
So who is correct here?
What is "wide enough"? I personally feel two cars is too cosy and, when turning right, I am far too close to the curb of the island.
A single carriageway approaches the roundabout, a single carriageway exits the roundabout, there are no signs and no road markings, so my assumption is that it is only one lane around the roundabout, others disagree and attempt to enter the roundabout alongside me. If there is contact, who's fault is it?0 -

Come on down to Milton Keynes if you want to practice your roundabout skills - we have literally hundreds of them! Magic roundabouts take things to a whole different level - the one in Hemel Hempstead scares me silly and I avoid it if at all possible.
