I still haven't posted a picture. I nearly got there by uploading some bits to imgur but couldn't find a copy button.
Do I just put the link in
I will throw a pic or two of our renovation property on here if it helps.
I upload to ImgBB. They give you a BB code for forums which you just copy and paste into your post; it's that easy. You can have a discreet thumbnail that expands when you click it,or you can go full size.
For example, this was my first proper view of our place (thumbnail clicky)
I thought, "My God! Who would put a hideous flat roof on the front like that....and why?" They'd gained 3' inside!
Even before we knocked at the door, I knew that flat roof would have to go, but as we weren't going to buy this hideous bungalow that was irrelevant.....0 -
When I built my house in 2002 I had to sell up too and bought a static caravan for the site (needed planning permission to put it on site though)
It wasn't exactly a top of the range caravan though and when the winter hit about 4 months into the build we woke up one morning to the toiled water being frozen solid.
The OH went mad, grabbed the kids and went to her mums, that was that, I had to spent the rest of the build at the in laws. Kept getting the "I told you so" from them.
All worth it in the end though, GL0 -

And what a waste of a chimney. It is just crying out for a decent log burner to supplement the oil and bottled gas.Her courage will change the world.

Anyway, having found Mr Heath and Ms Robinson had been hard at work over 10 years, we decided it was too much work and drove away. It was about a week later that it somehow managed to call us back again.
But this is Doozer's thread, so I'll only add the odd picture from time to time. We lived in it while we tackled it over about 3 years, which was 'interesting.':o0 -
It had one of those too, just going up a normal concrete chimney, but it wasn't 'decent,' nor could it power the 8 or 9 radiators attached to it! :rotfl: The oil went to an Aga.

I've got someone else posting my photos for me, even.:rotfl:
