My procrastination pays off sometimes.  The Tado is half price because it's Amazon Prime Day!  £152 instead of £300 for two smart thermostats.  Better!

Great to see your progress! Can I ask why you chose larch rather than the typical cedar? Does it age differently?

Looks amazing!  I guess you don't have any small people around - that dining table and chairs just screams 'finger marks' to me.  I have enough problem keeping the glass splashback behind my hob clean!

Nothing that intellectual.  It was half price in a sale 😬  It's still durable siberian larch.

It's charred, so there's no danger of it changing from black.

    Beware.

Siberian Hamsters love to eat that type of larch.

Or perhaps that only happens in Torquay.
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".

I've never been a fan of cedar, it turns into the "garden shed" look in a few years. I much prefer the charred larch look.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

My daughter keeps asking for one.  This is my definite reason for saying no! 😂

  • Brave going for similar colour for units and top - but, wow, it works. What kind of top is that?

The splashback - tiles or brick slips?

That is a 'gasp' kitchen :-)
