  • The kitchen is fantastic, crisp, clean and looks very inviting.

I also love the flooring, may pick your brains in a few years about it!

What a stunning house! I'm so envious. Just trying to do basic renovations seems to have been an uphill struggle.
I like the kitchen worktop. I've been trying to find a plain cream. Seems simple until you find they do bog standard everywhere.

Brave going for similar colour for units and top - but, wow, it works. What kind of top is that?

The splashback - tiles or brick slips?

That is a 'gasp' kitchen :-)

Thank you 🙂.   It's called Black Linen granite.  It's tile backsplash and came from the Fired Earth outlet shop 🙃.

I can definitely empathise.  It feels
like coasting downhill now after years of anxiety.

The hardest thing to find is the thing that you know exists in your head!  Somehow it completely eludes you in real life.

Ha!Ha! Doozergirl. I see stuff in my head.
Life would be a lot easier to buy stuff straight from the shop floor all done for you. But I have a kitchen that's perfectly good apart from colour. Quickest way to change the whole feel is walls, worktop and floor.
And haven't even mentioned my 'simple' idea for tiling the bathroom Try asking for a lavender flooring :D
I'm going to read through the whole thread tomorrow. I have a feeling my little tribulations will fade. It's a wonderful result you have.

I started this thread about 8 years into the saga.  It barely scratches the surface!

When (if ?) I get to do my bathroom, I'm just going to slap plaster on the walls and be done with it....
