    Hi Everyone

Chaos city here. Fish & chips only option for last nights tea:o . Hard to cook without a kitchen:A Decision made, white gloss, but not before three re-arrangements, two colour changes, etc. and all before 7 am!! Worktops nearly in now, doors going on later. Will be operational if not finished for the weekend. Will post photos wen finished. Tomorow's DS's graduation, so will not need a kitchen then.

Been to the hairdressers for a re-style this morning, think I like it. It was long, one length so had it layered and cut onto my face to [STRIKE]hide[/STRIKE] soften it! Hope the photos turn out Ok tomorrow, I like to be the one behind the camera, not in front of it:eek:

Glad you came through the op OK Pam, just rest it, let the family look after themselves today. Pen-Pin I agree with pipkin - I think you need to concentrate on getting yourself a bit better rather than studying, you can get back to it later. ((hugs)) Blairweech - stiff at 20, heaven know what we oldies suffer! Good luck with the job. Hi Amie, Hi Ellie.

OS wise, does sitting on here talking about it qualify, as can't do anything else.

(((hugs))) to anyone/everyone else. Take care

Only me! Only started reading these daily threads yesterday, but they are very interesting and you learn a lot about people.

Been reading today's one in between my boss coming and annoying me, so it's taken me most of the morning.

Not having a good day so far. Sent an e-mail to the wrong person and seeing as I work in the media/legal side of things, that could be disasterous (sp)! Hopefully my error won't end up in tomorrow's papers! My boss was very understanding about it though, so that's okay, phew!

Not done anything OS yet today, but seeing as I was up at 5.30am and out of the house at 6.30am, gonna give myself a bit of a break. Will start the loads of washing tonight when I get in as I am going into London tomorrow for some (actually, I'm not sure what, drinking probably!).

Snowyowl - sorry to hear about your dentist trip. I had to go last Monday at 8am and he proceeded to rip out one of my wisdom teeth! Eek, not what I needed at that time in the morning, but at least it's done now as it would have started hurting me at some point. £45, not sure if that is good or not.

PP - thanks for the recipe for the cake. Might just have to try that one. At the mo, my speciality is sponge cake. It's all I seem to make, but it goes quick enough, so must be alright. I just bung everything in the food processor and I think I worked out it only costs about 20p or something like that.

Roz - I recently apologised to my parents for being a stroppy teenager. Me and my bf used to come in at all hours making loads of noise and demanding to watch the telly. Gosh, I was selfish, but only realise now that we have bf's lil brother (19) living with us and he does the same thing!!

Pipkin - we still seem to have the mouse problem as well, but I just can't work out if the cat is dragging them in. Got downstairs at 5.30am yesterday and bf dangled one in my face that he'd just managed to get off the dog (she seems to like the cat's leftovers).

Hester - because I've only started this daily thingie, I dread to think what 'uncling' is, might have to have a look back to see if things are any clearer. I hope it's not what I'm thinking, but I just don't know with you lot!!

Elena - not sure about the preserving eggs thing, but I'm still using eggs that are in my fridge with the date 25th October on them. They're fine, I do the water test with them. Only 4 left, so suppose I should make another couple of sponge cakes just to get rid.

Ho hum, that's it for me for today. Probably won't be on over the weekend as I tend to try and avoid the computer as I'm on it 8 hours a day at work!

Dinner tonight is a mish mash of what's in freezer, chicken dippers, crispy pancakes, pizza and ooh, might make an omelette instead out of those eggs.

Thanks for everyone's welcomes and hi to everyone I didn't mention (just getting used to it all and all that - how do you remember who to write to?!!).

Had complete change of plan today - have done no paperwork, instead OH persuaded me to go to Lakeside. Good thing is 99% of my Xmas shopping is done - they bad thing it was horrible!!!

We got there before it opened & all our shopping was done by 11. We then had a nice lunch but by the time we left the place was heaving.

Somethings online to order and a couple of bits I can get from local villages to get, will start wrapping next week & hope to be all sorted by the end of the month which is my normal target.

Also ordered our fresh turkey on the way home, have a 15lb as its cheaper than smaller ones.

Am now feeling very smug and pleased with myself, I know people who havnt even started yet.

So all in all a nice friday evening to look forward to - hope you lot have a good one too.

Well done Essex-girl! I'm getting into the middle of my shopping this weekend too, though I probably won't finish picking up bits and pieces until the week before xmas! Must get more organised next year and buy one a month or something! :j

HESTER~ it’s a good job you are worldly wise even if the lodger isn’t.
WHATATWIT~ thanks for the mention, have felt better!
NATZINI~ hugs to you hope you feel better soon.
MRSMIX~ hope the knee gets better soon.
PENPEN~ send some snow my way please. I’m so jealous we rarely get it here.
    CHARLIESMUM~ enjoy celeb.
SHEZ~ those trees sound lovely. I would love to do it here but they would last 5 mins (if that) outside my house. My front door steps out onto a pathway so no chance.
JOHANNASMUM~ you made me chuckle with the coat tale.:rotfl:
PIPKIN71~ sorry you had to dispose of the mouse!
TAPLADY~ good luck to DS with his radio show. My mum has IBS but seems to control it by avoiding stress, as well as diet.
PINK~ hope DD has a nice time (our local paper did an article when some kids had their formal, OMG it was shocking what they spent. I would begrudge spending that on a wedding let alone prom. )
AUSSIE~ love the cloth. It doesn’t look an odd shape. (Don’t count on my judgement though :D )
LAURAJAYNE~ never heard of jaw sprain before, hope it gets better x
PENPIN~ I would get yourself right first. If you feel stressed at not meeting your targets etc then that won’t help your health. Just my opinion, but I think health’s more important.
BLAIRWEECH~ GOOD LUCK at the interview. (If you remember where it is :p )
DONNY~ glad the kitchen coming together. Make us all jealous and be sure to post pics.

I’m feeling rough today. Went to the docs yesterday got new painkillers. Thought I’d try them last night, did so and have been sick ever since. Twice last night and twice today. So I’m giving them a miss and carry on as I have been. Wouldnt mind but they didn’t even take the pain away.

Have got pizza base in BM i may give it a miss.havent eaten anything since teatime yesterday. managed to defrost the freezer yesterday before the sickness started so thats one job less.
hugs to all feeling as rotten as me!

    Afternoon gang....

She bought...bra, slip, blouse, skirt, cardigan, coat, shoes and a handbag.....all kitted out now...oh yes, and she bought my lunch. :D

We had a really nice time.

Pollyanna, you've the right idea of Uncling...... , unfortunately, Hester's lodger has yet to grasp the finer points. :rotfl:

Kyle, i'm sorry that your Ds is not well, it must be so difficult for you all.

Mrs mix, glad you are home.

Oh well, better sort out my washing, as I'm off to work for 5pm and I take it with me. Don't tell the boss. ;)

Fish and chips tonight for tea. :j

Hi all - bit late getting on here - well, really late considering I try and get on the first page. My DH bought a lovely second-hand chest of drawers yesterday to put in my office in an attempt to sort out the masses of paperwork we seem to accumulate. Why does one new piece of furniture necessitate complete upheaval in the rest of the house?! Anyway, it looks really great and has given me so much storage - I haven't even filled it up yet - but I will, soon!

Well, have managed to get my food shopping done today so that will free the weekend up a bit - apart from the usual cooking and cleaning.

Pam - glad you're home. Thinking about you.

(((hugs))) to all the poorly ones and poorly children.

Well, better go and get the washing in. It's been a lovely day today - cold but dry and sunny with blue sky. Long may it continue!

    May see you all later.

    Hi everyone

Well I have a functional if not a pretty kitchen for the weekend. The worktops are on, old hob reconnected until new one arrives, sink in (with new taps) and working, and microwave combi can go back on worktops so we can eat!

Photos of before, and current can be found at
    http://s168.photobucket.com/albums/u196/donny_gal/kitchen/

    will keep them updated.

Priority for tonight is to charge up camera batteries, clean up cards and charge up video for tomorrow:o embarrassing proud parent day!:rotfl: :rotfl:
but boy has it and will it cost us!

Hair turned out well. Must find time to do nails! but someone wants feeding - no idea why?

Official photos, lunch, dinner, and of course Mum has to take some goodies with her, courtesy of Aldi, mainly fresh/dried pasta and sauces, plus cheeses meats from France. Yes spoilt I agree, but he's the only one we have.

    Take care
