Well done. How long did the form take to come as i am still waiting and was it the nightmare that everyone says the form is?

The form is horrendous!! It took me about 10 hours in all - and then checking it. Having to go back over and over making sure I had not missed anything. I am saving my DLA/Carers and CTC element to have some work done on the garden so the kids can get out there and ride thier bikes. I feel guilty because DD does not get to go out to the park. We already have a huge play centre for them that the DLA paid for and it is really helpful as friends do not understand that we cannot just got to the park like they can.

Make sure you photocopy every page in case it goes missing in the post, it does get back-dated to when you applied for the form so do not worry too much. I got a lump sum of 14 weeks DLA and 13 weeks Carers, plus CTC awarded from the date the DLA started so a back dated payment there too.

Don't forget to apply to the council for your blue badge - it is nothing to do with DLA - look on your local council website for the Blue Badge Scheme details, I got my badge on Monday.

(Now we know why desmond knew all that stuff that was going to happen months ago when Hurley found him naked!)..so exciting!..how sad am i?!) No spoilers - but it is fun talking about theories. I do not know what I will do when there is no Lost. It better be a good ending!! I bet there is stuff you did not realise, like Ellie is Daniels mum when she is young and Ms Hawkins is his mum - so it is the same person, that Des is off looking for Ms H and Penny will be with him and Ben is with Ms Hawkins and Ben wants to kill Penny to avenge the death of Alex. I reckon Charlotte is Daniels daughter and I reckon Widmore is Daniels father....... I could go on but get yourself over there and say hi and join the fun. Don't be tempted to read it on Lostpedia as it spoils it come Sunday!!.... Oooooh I love Lost!!

hi sorry i didnt get back sooner usual chaos of a family of 4, added to that the weather
also ds1 had an appt. at the hospital and they have referred him for an MRI scan and blood tests
yep the down side he can b very aggressive, lose his temper at the slightest apparently irrelevant thing like things being done in the wong order, has been a danger to himself and others on several occasions.

The form took about a week to come, and I would've still been filling it in now if I hadn't realised I needed help and got someone from Welfare Rights to come round. We spent 5 hours solid on it (basically all day) but it was a relief to just do it, and she took it away to photocopy and post off, so no pouring over it second-guessing myself! I sent loads of evidence (but relevant stuff - not the whole piles and piles of paperwork DS has already generated) and it looks like it went straight through on the nod as I got a reply in 1 week!


BTW - re. Lost - spare a thought for those of us still following it on DVD (damn C4 for losing the rights) because we don't have Sky! *la la la fingers in ears* I don't even know who Daniels is yet!

I have a verbal diagnosis but waiting to recieve official letter.Do i have to send that off also? Are welfare rights in ever town as i have never heard of them?


BTW sorry strapped about Lost . I made it all up!;) No, i bought the dvd off of ebay, watched it and flogged it back on ebay. I recommend doing the same. It drives me mad waiting for a week for the next one! Anyway, i have found the Lost thread so i will keep quiet and only say that it is really getting good.

LOL. It might have been me who bought it off you But season 5 is not out yet. Fortunately I know a kind soul who recorded the 1st 2 episodes which I will be watching shortly (very MSE :money: )
