I am currently paying £26.99. I spoken to them last month and they could only offer me £27.99 plus £10 bill credit.
He wasent interested for me to remain.
Anyone had goof offers from Shell?1 -
Hmm .. ok - thanks for that ..Didn't realise they are now supposed to contact youMy contact ends in the next 2 weeks or so, I'm guessing my email is imminent then. I'll post back here with the outcome. I've only got standard ADSL, but at a sync speed of 23Mbps (only yards from the exchange) I'm more than happy with that, and don't feel the need for fibre just yet1

Not a deal to be honest. They told me it will remain £26.99 once the contact ends next month.
I think I will just wait for b/Friday see if better deals arrive.

I hope this helps reassure you and other users who questioned this charge.MSE Chris"Is this £15 cease charge waived for the current £100 bill credit offer?I'm with plusnet adsl and currently use a talk talk super router hg635, if I switch to Shell fibre can I continue to use the same router?
Just to reassure you that it's for any Shell Broadband offer that's taken up through MSE. Shell Energy was due to amend its T&C's to include this but unfortunately, it's had to take a back seat given the recent circumstances. It's reassured again this week that it still applies and that any MSE customer will not be charged a cease charge if they choose to leave Shell Broadband after their contract ends.
On the router front, providers can sometimes ask for their equipment back but you might want to check with TalkTalk to avoid any additional charges but they may have relaxed this given the circumstances but as always, it's best to check:1 -
My contract ends on 06 December.
I emailed their "Retentions Manager" on 20 October asking for a renewal agreement but to date have only received an irrelevant automated response.Rob0 -
If you're thinking of joining this company, don't forget to factor in their Cease Charge. This website consistently neglects to mention this - probably because they're making money from the association. They are also a very rude company, who send emails from a no-reply email address because they don't want to engage with their customers!

Hello all. Despite MSE_Chris's helpful reassurances about Shell Energy Broadband waiving the £15 cease fee for all 12 month £75 bill credit contacts taken out via MSE, Shell is still applying the charge and refusing to remove it when challenged with MSE_Chris's statement. I joined Shell in Oct 2019 and am leaving now and they won't budge on the £15 charge. Anyone had any luck in getting it waived? Thanks.0

If you signed up through one of our offers at the time, you shouldn't be charged this £15 cease charge.
So I can look into this further for you, please do email me your details (Name, address and deal you signed up to) at voucherhelp@moneysavingexpert.com with 'FAO MSE Chris' in the subject, I will be able to raise this with Shell Energy.
Many thanks,
MSE Chris2
