Hi, we’ve recently moved to the North West. We are enjoying the fresh air and having no commute. So far so good.
We are currently renting and are looking to buy soon. Any thoughts on this one? Especially regarding how reasonable (or not) the price is?
Sorry can’t post links it’s property-84052241 on RM. First result if you search for SK11 6QR

Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -
Asking WAY too much IMO.0

Where are you moving from because that will colour your judgement?
In London that house would be expensive because people are used to living in terraced houses. In some parts of the North West that house would be very overpriced because people aspire to living in a detached house rather than a terraced house.
To me it seems overpriced for a terraced house. It makes me think that they are trying to get back the money they spent on it but of course all the fittings are now second hand not new as they were when they were put in.
You will be able to work out if it is too expensive by what semi detached houses and detached houses are selling for in that area.0 -
I don’t understand why anyone who had £265,000 to spend in Macclesfield would buy a terraced house.0

I think it's a nicely presented house, but does seem a bit overpriced if you compare it to the 3 bed end-terraced on the same road at £160k. That does have a slightly smaller floor area and needs work, but looks like it has a garage.0

Looking at the previously sold houses this one does seem to be way more than the others - last one almost £100k less two years ago.
It is beautifully turned out but would agree with the other comments that it seems way overpriced0 -
It's nice, for a lower price. Its a terrace, you walk straight into the (relatively small) living room. Personally I would prefer a larger living room and a bit less kitchen (working with the same space). Or even lose some kitchen space and have some sort of hallway instead of walking into the front room.
As an aside, I thought the North was supposed to be cheap?
I live 45mins to Bristol in the S. Cotswolds and a sibling recently bought a nice detatched 4 bed with a garage for that...
In any case you dont live here, but it seems over priced having a look around Macclesfield.0 -
It looks lovely inside but ultimately it is a terrace with no parking and very overpriced.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
^ What they said..... and the public rooms are a little on the small side.0

A pavement terrace with no sort of porch area? No thank you.
It's nicely presented but you could do a lot better for that sort of money.0
