Evening!
Two days until the kids go back to school! Have been getting all their school stuff sorted today. I also got a call for a part-time (very part-time) job I applied for and the interview is Thursday. Not sure how I feel about it as I'm used to much more senior roles but I think for the time being I need something less responsible until the kids are older and DD extra needs are sorted re: school. The extra money would come in very handy though.
The loan came out via direct debit so have updated my figure and am into the 57's now. Always good to go into a new number. Will be able to pay off more when the carers benefit comes through. Have some money in the bank but am hesitant to do so until it does. Will also put €1000 as an emergency fund too.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Hope your interview goes well. Sounds like they would be lucky to have you. Good that you are building up your EF and making overpayments.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks SavingH. It's not an area I have a lot of experience of but I want something very part-time until I am happy with how DD is getting on at school and I feel she is supported.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Afternoon!
The interview went well today and I should find out next week. Even if I don't get it, it was a really good experience. It's only 2 mornings per week so would suit me perfectly until I know where I am with DD and the support she requires for school.
DD and DS started back at school today. All went very well. They went in smiling and came out smiling which is a really good start.
And in other good news I got arrears for carers so have been able to pay a good chunk off my loan and reduce my debt down to the mid rather than the high 50's and also reduce my debt free date by 2 months! Not every month will be like this but its a great start.
I'm off to sort out my sig!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
