savingholmes said:HI CMD well done on the payments. It may be worth balance transfering to one where it is an annual apr rather than upfront fee. May still save you a little interest
Unfortunately I won't be able to do a balance transfer as it's my card and I'm not working. Thanks for the tip though!

So I have paid off €2200 this month. A lot less than I thought I would be able to but it still brings us to under 37K which isn't bad. Am hopeful we will be able to pay another €2000 off the debt tis month, which will bring us to under €35k.
Weather is lovely here today but has been horrendous for the last week. Nice to see it picking up again. The kids are high as kites about this Fortnite event tonight. I wish I'd never heard about that stupid game!

That's a brilliant amount to pay off well done! If you could get under £35k it's fantastic progress.
Yes weather better here to although between thundery showers so it's dipping in and out of the garden for the next few days.
Hope you're well, H x

Fantastic payment. Well done. Sounds like you are having better weather than us. We've had storms for days.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Peeping my head back through the door!
I have been gone a while and my debt has gone up due to home improvements! Have had a busy few months which included a family bereavement (Mum's stepdad), H being diagnosed with ADHD and settling the kids back to school. We also got some well needed home improvements done too.
So the debt has gone up but it will go back down again at payday this week when I will be able to clear credit card 2. I am also waiting on a flight refund from 2 airlines so that will put a good dent in credit card 1. My aim is to get rid of both credit cards before 2021. That would be the first time in my life that I just have 1 loan outstanding, and no credit cards!
So I need to get my head down again and focus again so that we can get this debt gone as soon as possible! This morning was an admin morning so I spent it getting car insurance quotes, changing the date for my mortgage payment and organising a gas boiler service and chimney sweep. I need to spread these out more as they all seem to fall in September. I won't be able to pay my car insurance in full this year but I am hopeful that I will be able next year.
