Also can the both be used for playing HD /Blue Ray DVDs ?

Xbox 360 has the better games just now
  • Xbox 360 is the one id choose. It has massive amount top class games out for it as we as Xbox live arcade where you can download re-vamped classic from yesteryear. As for the HD-Bluray it is very much like the Betamax v VHS video wars that used to be. PS3 isn't really worth the Extra just for a Blu/Ray drive which has caused alot of problems for sony on the PS3. One mre thing Xbox 360 displays it games in HD anyway.
Don't listen to the bad things about Vista its the best

Just because it's free don't mean it's good

    Ditch Norton Now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :wall:

Just Because you read it some where don't mean it's right ;)
  • if you're just talking about mostly gaming, it has to be the 360.
the PS3 has no decent titles, and none in development that will see the light of day before next xmas.

  • I bought my 14yr old son an XBox 360 last year & he's always playing on it. By the way what's wrong with a wii?

  • I think the choice depends on what type of games he is in to.

If it's first person shooters or online gaming, then probably Xbox, but if he is into racing then PS3 is the favourite

Xbox has a greater range of gfames to play and is slightly cheaper without its add on HD drive, but the PS3 has the bonus of HD def out of the box
  • PS3 I think - looks much better

    The console or the games???

No point in buying the console because it looks good, and no point in getting it yet just because a couple of games look good when there is a lot more choice on the XBOX

  • PS3 for me, the games are so much more my style, when i think of xbox i think of First person shooters.

Have you seen the games in development for the PS3? They look awsome, also if he has a ps2 some sequals such as metal gear solid, final fantacy, and killzone are all exclusive on PS3.

The online is free for the PS3 saving £40 a year costs.

Not only does the PS3 do games it also has the blueray player which at the moment has more sales than HD-DVD.

The PS3 will also have something called HOME which is a 3D virtual world where users can meet and chat in a virtual world, this will be free for everyone and a test version ( beta ) will be out end of november / early december according to sony.

In the long run i think the PS3 is a better buy, not only do you have to pay out £40 / year for xbox live ( which is the main part of games these days ) it also has blueray which can hold more data than the normal DVD disc xbox uses so developers can expand whereas they are limited on how much info they can put on a xbox disc.

Also all first party games are £32.99

Im 15, 16 in jan and i love my PS3.
