Surely you didn't think all 5 pairs of trousers were £17.50, including alteration?
Did you pay for the trousers at the point of purchase, and there's only the alteration to pay for? Or did you still need to pay for the trousers anyway? If the latter, did you seriously think each pair of trousers was £3.50 including alteration? Seriously?
As stated previously, Seriously, No.0 -
What did you think you were getting for £17.50? three pairs, altered and the alterations to the blazer?0

This thread has me really confused!0

Is this still going? Surely we've had every combination of numbers of pairs of trousers, alterations and prices by now?! It reads like a simultaneous equation puzzle.
If 5 pairs of trousers plus five alterations plus a blazer alteration costs £17.50, and 3 pairs of trousers plus a free blazer costs £101.50, where does OP stand?0 -

But the OP thought they said 3 pairs0 -

What's confusing me is why FIVE pairs of trousers. (I'm sure the most pairs I ever had at one time were two - and perhaps not even that).
Or perhaps the OP means three, or perhaps they do mean two. If they think a "1" could be a "3", who knows?0 -
Now if it said each and/or total I'd agree.
It doesn't and this is my entire point.
Yes 17.50 is clearly wrong, however IMO so is £101.50 especially without prior agreement.
you keep saying £17.50 is clearly wrong
why in that case did you not clarify the cost before you left the store
you wouldnt be in this position now if you had done
having said that i dont think they can force you to pay as its not clear on the receipt what you are paying for.
you may of course struggle to get the blazer back0 -
