As posted above I thought it was a 3 instead of a 1.
I know it's not 17.50 for 5 pairs of trousers.
I also know the charge isn't clear anywhere.0 -
So you thought it was £37.50 for 5 pairs of altered trousers?
It's obvious you haven't been shopping in Primark......where you might get 5 unaltered pairs for that.0 -

So you spotted what you thought was a mistake, but rather than clarifying at the time you thought you’d try and get away with a bargain and hold them to the £17.50 total?0 -

I thought that would be reasonable, she altered the blazer for £3, so 5x3 =£15 then 5 pairs for £22.50
Asda/Aldi do 5 pairs for 15 so assumed this was reasonable.0 -
Taking this at face value - it doesn't sound like you and the retailer agreed what the price was for the trousers - so there's no contract, and nobody has any rights.0

No not at all.0 -
Surely the trousers must be individually priced in the shop - why didn't your wife notice the price when she placed the order?0

A high street pair of trousers is say £7 for really cheap ones, so 5 pairs for £35. That would not be including alterations...
So even if it was a 3 at the front, that would be ridiculously cheap.
A decent pair of trousers from a uniform shop are around £15, so £17.50 a pair isn't a million miles off.
£17.50 x 5 = £87.50 so the repairs were then an additional £14 in total, so £2.80 a pair.
Sounds very reasonable pricing to me.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
