Im in need of some help people
I have today recieved a letter from money claims online county courts business centre and has been served ln behalf of the claiment vehicle control services limited simon renshaw smith claiming i didnt display which is false as i did bit a friend went back to the car to get his coat and as the ticket isnt sticky must of fallen on the floor as hes closed the door
The letter looks very unofficial and in the claims pack asks for the address where further letters can be sent which baffles me

At the top of this board is a thread that tells Newbies to read it first. That thread explains exactly what to do.0 -

What do the biggest letters on that 'letter' spell out?0 -

So is an MCOL from the CCBC in Northampton, in which case it's genuine and will have a reference on the middle to bottom right and an issue date, top right
What is that issue date
Email a SAR to the DPO at VCS and get all the documents and pictures and data about you and your vehicle, tonight
Attach a picture of the claim form as proof of ID under GDPR
Do the AOS online by following the instructions in the newbies faq sticky thread near the top of the forum
Once done, you will know it's a genuine claim
Then start drafting your defence and post it below for critique1 -

Thanks for the response.the only reason i question it is i have heard of letters being sent that look like CC letters but arent.
There is an 8 letter/digit reference in the top right of the letter.i have hsd the issuing ticket officer take photos of my parking ticket to prove i had payed but they state this isnt good enough.i placed it on the dash as the ticket isnt sticky and its blown off when my friend has closed his door0 -
Forget what actually happened for now, assume it's genuine, login via the government gateway and try the reference, following the AOS completion guide in post 2 of that newbies thread
The POC tell you what the claim is for
Then decide if a Keeper based defence using POFA is best, OR a driver based defence from you as a witness to the events on the day
Post the issue date from the top right
That form and N1 claim pack should be from the CCBC in Northampton, which is County Court Business Centre, not Park0 -
You didn't tell us what the issue date is?0

Issue date is the 14th of august and the poc is for a breach of contract breaching the terms and conditions of private land
Also it is county court business centre0 -
the poc is for a breach of contract breaching the terms and conditions of private landPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks, despite your suspicions, I believe it's a genuine court claim from VCS and ignoring it will lead to a default CCJ against you
A lot of people complain about the paper quality and printing, probably government cutbacks
Doing the AOS online successfully will prove if it's genuine, and double the time to submit the defence, again online, as a PDF attachment to the CCBC0
