Plus it's civil court, so if you lose pay up in full on your way out, or within one month, to get the CCJ expunged

I was also wondering about this. Thank you for mentioning this.

I was concerned of the long term knock-on if I were to lose. I hear about CCJs and was concerned about my eligibility for loans. mortgages etc. in the future. So if I pay on the day it won't affect anything like loans in the future?

Apologies for taking my questions slightly off-topic.

harass keepers into paying for minor parking infringements when they weren't even driving or at the car park.

    Minor infringement though. 6 minutes = £60.

Correct, pay on the day or within one month, the judge will give you a time to pay it, which will be no longer than one month

It's not paying it in full, promptly that trashes the credit rating after one month, so that is the golden nugget you need to know

If in doubt, pay on the way out

Is it something that has to be declared in future applications for anything financial, or does immediate payment sort that too?

Also, as regards court.....I believe that even if they win, it costs them more than they receive to take you all the way to court....

Have you admitted driving and are you the keeper? The advice on here is to never admit who was driving..If you haven;t admitted you can edit your post to delete reference to having driven because apparently the PPCs monitor this forum.

I am the keeper, but have not confirmed nor denied that I was driving. I have admitted that the time limit was exceeded, but with extenuating circumstances. In hindsight this was probably not a good idea, but the cameras and timestamps show that anyway.

Then you urgently need to edit post #53.

Any admission that a keeper was the driver at a parking incident blows 'not relevant land' out of the water, as PoFA becomes irrelevant.

This is a whole different issue to whether a private parking firm is allowed to manage a local authority car park (and use ANPR cameras), you will not find POPLA adjudicating on this aspect, but they should on the former, provided the driver is not identified!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I don't understand - surely legislation is legislation.

If they know who the driver is, then they do not need to use the Protection of Freedoms Act to transfer the driver's liability to the keeper.

    POFA becomes irrelevant.
