  • Afternoon!

    No bus here - I spent yesterday afternoon ;

Stripping a chicken and turning the carcass into stock,

    Taking recycling out

    Washing up
    Countertops
    Hob

Stripping the bed (which conveniently, stopped Himself getting straight back into it on his return from the bathroom)
    Washing bedlinen
    Washing sofa throw
    One small dark load
    Drying/hanging up

Scrubbing out the felines' Little Box of Evil, descaling it, scrubbing again, rinsing, drying, refilling

    Cleaning shower room floor
    Cleaning fixtures
Discovering the sink was low pressure because it hadn't been turned on properly and rectifying that

Cleaning the bath, sink and loo upstairs
Getting molested by Idiot Cat because the latest bathroom cleaning spray evidently contains bleach
    Putting some clothes away

Making the bed with the 'assistance' of two Idiot felines

    Watering windowbox

And then found out when running a bath that it actually hadn't been fixed at all. Took two hours for it to cool down enough to use when it was set at the lowest temperature possible. Just as well I didn't decide to dye my hair and was relying on the shower head for rinsing at the time.

Today, I don't think I'm doing much at all. Well, not if I have anything to do with it, anyhow.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

    I have

    Pegged out washing.
Finished prep for Campfire stew and added it to SC
Washed up inc DS's shot roulette game which probably wasn't washed after last use *shudder*
Emailed DD with breakdown of what she owes me, list of family birthdays to year end, advised early posting of great-niece's birthday card(her second cousin) due to BH next week and included all addresses.

    My bed aired so remade.
    Binbag dance.

    Am considering washing my car.

  • Afternoon

Busy day so far. I was up at 7.30am, dog walked, showered and hair washed. Dishes done.

I’ve spent most of my time listing clothes for sale, although it’s taken me ages. Using a mixture of Shpock, Vinted and Facebook. I’m now sitting with a cuppa watching George Clark’s Old House, New Home. I’ve still got to read my paper from yesterday as well as today lol

Recently DS sorted through all of his clothes :D This afternoon I have been working my way through one of the two piles of unwanted clothes and sorting cs clothes from rags.

I now have a box of clothes for cs and 1.5 carrier bags of clothes for rags - I seem to think Oxfam will take those?

And one pile still to sort... but not today.

As a 'recovering hoarder' I now need to recuperate a little :o. I'm a lot better at letting things go than I was though - :A for effort :D

Ooops - I've just been and bought 19 books through fb :D That's this winter's reading sorted. 19 books - all like new - for £15, and one of them is an omnibus (3 in 1). :money: All by the same author - so I've sorted them in to the order they were written :T:j:T

Can you tell I'm excited? :D I think I was very brave contacting a total stranger and popping to the next village to pick up the books :D

The books will be read, passed to Dad to read, and then passed on to cs.

Flying? I've brought in and folded the dry washing.

I think I've been on the bus all week, going round in circles.
Well done to all fly-A level success.
    Great to 'see' you LameWolf
Well done roundtuit for your working week, and hugs for all others with anxiety difficulties.
I've scanned thread a couple of times but can't remember much, sorry if congratulations/commiserations/support was lacking.

this week has passed in a blur of:
    - continuing MIL flat clearing. Very nearly done now; some nice people replied to various G£mtree and Fr££cycle ads and things have been collected. BIL is on his way (or may have arrived by now) with a van to take what he wants. Lots has been taken to the charity shop.

    - I've started sorting out clothes for my hols as I know tomorrow will be taken up with loading van/more flat clearing, I'm on a course on Wed and Thursday we go down to my Mum's as she and I sail away on Friday. Lists everywhere. And trying on clothes was depressing.

    - Had a bit of a sort out of clothes, as I bought 2 T-shirts recently then my neighbour passed on 4 new ones which didn't fit her - so I have thrown a load of grotty/too small ones out to make room for them.

    - keeping up with gathering plums/greengages and freezing them. Apples starting to fall now, but Mr N will have to deal with them when I'm away.

-sort of keeping up with my online course. Sort of.

-Have read through new report format info as that's what I have a course about on Wed.

    - finally got round to biting the bullet and replacing my 9yr old phone, silly to get sad over a phone but I liked it. However, frayed charger, slow performance and not holding charge were irritating me, not to mention keypad worn out through texting. Luckily I had a load of Arg&s vouchers.

Today I've been to church, one load through WM and out on line once showers stopped, various fruit/veg/salad picked for this evening's meal, all downstairs vacuumed and tidied after a fashion. Bird feeders filled. About to do a bit more online course before Mr N and BIL appear.

  • Evening all, I have just got home after being away for 4 out of the last 5 weeks.
House is a bomb site as the contents of the car have just been dumped. I am going to write an epic list for tomorrow and will pot on the new fred.

I've enjoyed reading along as always, but now need to get back on the bandwagon.

    Wish.
