My daughter and I used to be best if friends. Then she separated with her fianc! a few months before the wedding a year and a half ago. It was completely her choice.
It was sad, they had two young children.
For some reason over the past year especially the last 6 months we have grown more and more apart - we used to be great friends.
Things are a bit awkward between us now, I fell like she tolerates me, but doesn’t enjoy my company anymore.
She usually only really makes first contact now but when she wants something from me or wants a baby sitter.0 -
I talk to my Mum on the phone 1-2 times a week. She's 92 but still qFor every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0

I think everyone has their 'Own' type of relationship with family members.
I live about 30 minutes from my parents/siblings and 2 minutes from my In-Laws.
My kids love visting/staying over at my parents and always have done so, as my siblings are more into playing on the PS4 than meand they love playing with them.
If i'm honest i don't call my parents by phone but my dad is on whatsApp (and in the siblings group chat) and we do talk over WhatsApp now and again if there is anything that needs sorting.
However, i do try and visit every few weeks normally.0 -
