If you have given the details that ITI have asked for be careful, far to much detail for identify theft. 
Already proven in the amout of telephone calls on ex directory, so how far could this go in giving more info.
L&C have stated that they selected ITI as the preferred broker and the key factor in the admininistrators decision was the scope of the FCA permissions.

I take it this was a trading account and you didn't have to sacrifice an ISA?

Or if it was an ISA it was small enough to cut and run knowing you can get it back into an ISA soon enough using the £20k annual allowance?

I'm jealous of your freedom either way....

Has anyone used Phoenix to sell their holdings? Tempted to do so just to get away from here

Why not sell by phone? It is in ITI's interest to get some trade commission rather than just transfer to another broker at no charge, much easier for them too. When selling make sure the trader is prepared to help you get the proceeds to your bank. That worked for me. If there are problems getting your cash then, thanks to information from Jamesram, it is easy to follow a legal procedure which should secure your cash.

In theory yes, or you can just sell yourself and request the cash separately.
I have used Phoenix/IB platform a lot. Happy to walk you through it if you want to contact me.
Once you have a grasp on the IB platform it is actually very good. The issues are with ITI and the other side of the business....ie anything on QORT

yeah have a mix of holdings in Phoenix and one still in Qort as cannot be transferred there
