Customs charge for unexpected parcel

I’ve no idea what section of the forum this should be in but I’m hoping someone can help.
Today, I got a ‘fee to pay’ card from my postman. The box is ticked to say it’s a customs charge. The problem is that I don’t remember ordering anything that would have a customs charge on it (Nothing from abroad). I’ve checked through all my recent email confirmations and I still have no idea what this is. The fee is £14.02 so it’s not cheap but my curiosity is driving me crazy. Is there any way to find out what it is or who the sender is?
I’m also really worried in case this is some sort of identity fraud or they’ve hacked my bank account etc, if this is something I did not order.

I expecting the sorting office would be able to show you what it is before you pay.0

After spending 40mins on hold, I finally got through and they won’t tell me anything over the phone. Worse still, even if I go to the delivery office, they won’t tell me anything there either unless I pay them first. Apparently they won’t even let me see it!
Oh, it’s from the USA. She did tell me that, at least. But I’m none the wiser about what this could be.0 -

The suspense would be killing me!!
Have you ordered anything at all thinking it is coming from within the UK?
Entered any comps?
Do you know anyone living there?
Is it definitely addressed to you by name?0 -

I order almost everything from Amazon. The only thing I’m waiting on is a pack of scrunchies but they were free UK delivery and fulfilled by Amazon. I haven’t entered any competitions (not IIRC). I do have family in Boston but they’ve never sent me anything in their lives so it won’t be from them.
The card has my initial and last name. I don’t actually know if this is a parcel. It could be a letter. I’m freaking out a bit about online security now so I think I’ll ring my bank and visa company and ask if any payments have went out lately to the states.0 -
You dont have to collect it just ignore .0

Just refuse the parcel and it'll be returned to the sender.0
