Valli, I'd get a new one and keep the lid - it's generally the lids that get broken.
Have a busy day so I'll join you all later when I get back.Better is good enough.0 -
I've kind of answered my own question when I thought about the rusty screws. I'm buying a new one but I'm hanging onto the lid.

Windows cleaned. Not by me [hands over fiver to lovely windowcleaner]

Wheelie bins cleaned. Not by me [you've guessed it].
Idiot Cat has graduated from 20-30 goosegrass seeds per garden visit. He now looks like he's been wading in the things, then rolling in a sack of grass seed for the extra entertainment value - polka dots on the legs and belly, millions of tiny spikes like a hedgehog on the top half. Any more of the things and he'd look like a Granary Loaf.
Giant moth rescued from living room at stoopid o'clock last night. Felt like a sparrow had flown into the side of my head where it bounced off me. Eventually caught it, much to Himself's amusement, as I had been wearing a bath towel at the time and apparently pounced on it like a very large cat. He suggested opening the front door for me to let it out. I suggested he thought about what I was (not) wearing before he did any such thing.
In any case, it went free, much to the horror of the Idiot animals, as they were convinced I was going to give it to them. Yeah, right. That doesn't work with mice when you're doing the catching, either.
Kitchen needs sorting. Not my flaming job today, so I'm going to do a bit of dusting.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
JoJo the mental image of your cat coming in covered in seeds has made me chuckle! I also have a very fluffy cat who seems to bring half the garden in on his belly and tail every time he goes out...
Just had some lunch wash loads 1&2 brought in dry and wash load 3 put out. Basket is empty again! Yay! DH away with work for 2 days after today so washing will be less, quite glad as weather forecast not that great.
Lunch dishes washed and left to dry, cats snoozing in the conservatory in the sun, I have another couple of hours paid stuff to do and then I am off for a walk or a swim, haven’t quite decided which yet. Supper is leftovers from yesterday so all very simple. Just the way I like it.
Bye again, have a lovely afternoon all x0 -
I'm in - thanks Natty :A
