I’m on my tablet.
I got it going and went through a couple of stages, when asked for it I clicked I don’t have a product key
Then I selected windows 10 pro to install when asked which one
Then it asked which type of installation?
Upgrade blah blah blah with “this option is only available if windows is already installed etc.
Custom, advanced etc.
I selected custom advanced as I assumed there was no existing windows yet.
Then the screen went blank and has stayed blank and the fans are going mental0 -
If anyone read my last post and laughed then you are not alone, I am sat here laughing too it’s too funny how incompetent I am with this stuff :rotfl:0

Everywhere has already covered licensing and install instructions. Post #25?
Anyway, very close with custom install. Should have given you the option to install to blank SSD (you have connected it?)
Eg steps 11 and 13. Here

Is that why I can’t install it?0 -
So was I right to click custom install then?0

I’ve realised what the problem is, I think something is overheating which is causing the computer to just switch itself off.
I remember this happening when the computer first broke three years ago, when trying to install windows 7 onto my external western digital hard drive, which I fitted inside to replace the faulty clicking original hard drive, the process kept failing in exactly the same way.
I remember having to try and keep the big red thing at the bottom (graphics card I think) cool by using ice packs wrapped in foil next to it.
I have now tried a few times and the furthest I’ve gotten is:
Copying windows files (ticked)
Getting files ready for installation (82%)
Still have the following to go
Installing features
Installing updates
Getting finished
I don’t know if it is the graphics card overheating and causing the failure but I just remember doing that under the guidance of the tech support guy on the phone.
Maybe it’s something else, any ideas folks?0
