Hello, It appears that I took out the wrong drive, I took out the remaining original drive which didn’t have windows on it so this is what I was seeing in my computer0
-
I received a private message advising that I remove everything and just leave the new ssd and the usb connected then start again, I just did that but still nothing is happening.
USB is not even an option in the boot menu0 -

Just fitted the SSD and turned the computer on but it looks the same, windows 7
Ahem, sorry, the SSD is meant to replace the hard disk drive (HDD) - did you take the HDD out, and plug the SSD into those two cables?I received a private message advising that I remove everything and just leave the new ssd and the usb connected then start again, I just did that but still nothing is happening.
OK. Good advice.
If you get into the BIOS, can you find the SSD? Can you let us know what appears in the boot menu of the BIOS? I can't see your pictures.
Do you have another computer you can plug the USB stick into? It should show up as 'ESD USB' or something similar.0 -
Boot options are
AHCI:P1-CT1000MX500SSD1
CD/DVD:P2-PLDS DVDRW/BDROM
Removable Dev.
Disabled0 -
I wonder why you can’t see my pictures? It took me ages to work out how to do it on my tablet from Dropbox, I’m on my tablet now, I can see them.0

Your pictures have been shrunk so cannot read them. The first boot device is the SSD ("MX500") and guess that USB is "Removable Dev"
If you can change the boot order so that "Removable Dev" is first... it might boot from the USB (assuming its been buily correctly...)0 -
Tried to boot from removable device but nothing happens0

Going to have lunch. Back in a bit.
Removable device?
Anyway, don't change anything in the BIOS. Best to use the one time boot selection; Using the F12 key on start up.
So don't change anything in the BIOS. Shut down and use the F12 key to get to the One Time Boot Menu. See if USB drive is listed there. Are you sure that the installation media was created properly?0
