Heyyy!! Just caught up with your diary and I’m loving your determination
I can relate to you in a lot of ways (we are the same age, single mums, my eldest is the same age as your son) so I’ll be subscribing and cheering you on

Good Morning
Budget is looking really tight for this month, May of slightly gone OTT on the shaving the pots, need to make sure I keep a close eye on my spending to make it through comfortably. I also forgot 2 friends birthdays that I do usually buy gifts for. I’m trying to think of something really cheap to get them, maybe a bottle of prosecco or something compared to the usual gift I buy them.
So it’s my interview tomorrow, annoyingly I have to pay for the tolls to get to the office, but hopefully it will be worth it. I’ve finished my presentation so feeling pretty prepared.
Thank you for all your advice reference the hair, I will get it booked in.

I budget £50 a month for haircuts, (for 5 of us, I shave hubby's myself) I started getting it done nicely when I turned 40, and it is one thing I won't let go of. I don't spend a huge amount on clothes and rarely wear make up, for me it's what I do for 'me'. Everyone needs that one thing. For my sister it is clothes, me it is hair.
Good luck todayDebt free Feb 2021 🎉0 -
Thanks Drawingaline. I used to have my hair done with hair extensions fitted and they cost £700 every 6 months!!!! Obviously I took them all out and havnt had my hair dyed or cut for many many many months now. I can’t go back to how I was before, but you are right it would be nice to feel a little bit like me again! XMy debt free journey, diary and all! New Life Pending :beer:0

I haven't had my highlights done since January but going to book in for November
Partly because I'd like it done before my works Christmas party and because my roots are baaaddd!
Going to cost £80 but only have them done a couple of times a year.0 -
Go for it! Mine looks half half now, luckily I’ve got naturally blonde hair so it sort of looks like a dodgy job rather than I haven’t had it done for so long- not sure what is better lol.
Here’s to all our Xmas hair! XMy debt free journey, diary and all! New Life Pending :beer:0 -
I've got mid brown hair and have dark blonde highlights so it doesn't look too horrendous
I just wear it up a lot :rotfl:0 -
So interview complete, I feel as if I did the best that I could of done so if I don’t get it, then that’s ok because it obviously wasn’t meant to be!
On money matters, I had some expenses come through so going to put that into my food pot to top that up so that’s all good!
Looking forward to the weekend, heading out to a firework display with new guy and then I have some drinks planned on Saturday night with the parents from my sons football team- all budgeted for!
Hope you have all have a lovely weekend. XxMy debt free journey, diary and all! New Life Pending :beer:0 -
