Well he didn't do mind reading or magic them out of thin air did he? Clearly he "borrowed" your card. That's why they won't pay you back. Your own lack of security.
Why don't you try and sue Ryan for the money back?0 -
If its fraud then a soliciter will help you a lot more than some forum on the internet .
<According to what I have read, there are laws and regulations in place that protects me from this offence.>
A soliciter will know these laws that you claim protect you .This forum can only guess especially with little real information .
What information has been given does not give any indication where to help if at all .
Furthermore it seems what you are asking for is media outlets to spread your story .
Try Daily Mail Express local papers etc big bunch on the counter in your newsagent .Google media outlets .
Try Legal Beagles forum though they will want the full facts .0 -

God help us! Are you asking us "Why is the retailer asking for a confiscation order?" or are you trying to answer a question put to you earlier? You're the person who mentioned a "confiscation order" - the rest of us are talking about a "compensation order".
You may not "know" how Ryan "stole" your details, but presumably you were negligent in not keeping them secure (or you gave them to him).
Out of interest, if it was your student finance that was stolen, what are you studying?0 -
I think you guys are all having your collective legs pulled. No amount of exasperated expressions of frustration is going to make the OP more forthcoming I fear.
In the meantime, this thread careers towards it's fourth page...0 -
The quoting feature on the phone isn’t working, sorry if I’ve missed any unanswered questions.
The courts didn’t issue any else other than a sentence.
Are you able to sue someone whilst they are in prison? He has no assets.
Also, how is what I studied relevant to any of this?0 -

There are well documented scams online involving freshers who are befriended and giv away a little too much information on Facebook.
It’s embarrassing to be conned in this way. There will be a link somewhere0
