You're excluded from the benefit cap if you or your partner earn at least £569 per month after deductions.RealElement47 wrote: »How much do you have to earn or how many hours do you have to work so that e Ben cap doesn't apply?

is there a min amount of hours0 -
Could somebody just work several hours a week and if they earn about £600 month after deductions then they are exempt from the cap?
But they would both still have to go to regular job cEnter appointments to see why they are not earning more?0 -
Assuming 25+ & on NMW.
£569/£8.21 = 69.300 -

They've had a busy week!Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
What if they were on a much higher hourly rate but working few hrs?
Seems odd as the answer will always be £569 - so simple arithmetic will answer your question.
As regards all your other questions, I have a degree of sympathy with you are benefits are a complex area. For a rough guide guide to answering your questions, I'd suggest https://www.entitledto.co.uk
In reality if you have specifics you are best doing this off-board with a charity local to you that has benefit specialists.
If you feel you have to double or triple check what you've been told then a good starting point is

Thanos for all the answers lovely peopleWhat rate are you talking?
I’m trying to understand if the new UC is similar to the old working tax credit.
On the old system you had to work something like 24hrs min to not be affected by the cap.
Is it the case on UC that the hours don’t matter it the earnings that are all that matters?
If you earned £50hr self employed then earn £569 in a little over ten hours per month that would be ok to not get the Ben cap enforced?0
