Earnings allowance on UC for a couple?

The first part of what you eat that doesn’t affect how much UC you get is how much per week?

Is it for each individual or jut once for a couple?

For example if the husband is only one earning can he use his wife’s allowance?

If not then it makes sense for the wife to at least go and earn that much every week

It's per claim, not each. Whether you receive the higher or lower work allowance will depend on circumstances. I'm assuming you have dependent children or one of you claims limited capability for work?

    Yes we have three children

Can you please tell me what are the work allowances?

Is it the same for a couple?

The higher allowance if you don't claim for help with housing costs is £503 per month.

The lower is £287 per month, if you claim for help with housing costs.

It’s the same for a single person or a couple.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
