Well done on lottery win! Every little helps and on getting the money back from the shop. Hurrah for the holiday in a week's time. Your savings are looking good too.

Went for breakfast with colleagues today. £3.75 for a bacon roll and a pot of tea. I got 2 cups of tea out of the pot and would have preferred to split with someone but with my colleagues eating 7 piece breakfasts I don't think money and frugality is an issue for them.. :p I put my £4 change from the weekend towards a gift for my colleague who is leaving. Added this to my entertainment budget. I don't think there's going to be much else put towards this part of my budget considering my boyfriend isn't here. Honestly, I'm happy to sit at home browsing the internet, reading books, doing surveys etc, free entertainment (well I pay for my internet, my TV license and my rent!) but the comment from my neighbours about me never going out makes me feel kinda bad.

Picked up some groceries after work at Aldi for £10.46. Did forget quite a bit so will need more mid-week.

Still no UK clearance for my boyfriend and seems like many others are still having this problem :(. There's still time but he's sorted out a plan with his professors so he should still be coming over here in September. Would have been nice if we could have spent this weekend/next week together but that's unlikely to be happening - can't be helped. His professors blame this delay on Brexit :p

I copied Klarna into an email with SuperDry asking them to please sort out my win between them. I feel rude but isn't it ruder to read my messages and not answer them? Totally takes the fun out of comping.

    Anyway:

    Groceries: £10.46/£25
    Petrol: £20.15/£55
    Entertainment: £7.75/£60

  • HE GOT IT!!!!!!!!!!

Still has to apply for his visa and actually get here but finally!!

    :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j

I've been so busy at work.. being a get away driver :rotfl: so only just getting excited now.

I also called council tax because I was expecting a payment to come out on the 1st and they told me I'm actually in credit  and it will come out as normal next month and is set to over 12 months, so that's good news too.

Also got a 30p bonus reward on prolific for some reason?? Not going to complain, takes me almost to the £5 threshold.

In all going pretty well :D:D

Oh and best of all... received 92p interest from my vantage account. That's it into savings.

Didn't win the lottery though :p

  • Just got offered an interview next week - for a job I absolutely didn't think I'd be qualified for!! I got rejected for jobs that were less important and less money so I'm absolutely godsmacked! It would be an extra £6000 a year which is a lot for me

I don't even feel that nervous I feel pretty excited because I was so surprised. It's next Friday :j

  • Grabbed some groceries @ £5.70
    Petrol @ £20.43
Baking a vegetable lasagne... green beans, lentils, tomatoes, onion with a cream cheese + egg sauce topped with parmesan. This is the first recipe I'm trying from the student cookbook I bought! Looks way nicer than the usual meat lasagne I've been failing at for over a year...

I received the £2 I lent to a colleague a few days ago so put back into savings. Will be spent tomorrow as I forgot to get some filling for my rolls for the next 2 days!! So tempted just to eat out but I already did Monday.

Missed a call from a number I don't know, can't see anything online, makes me worried I've missed a competition or something! But they called after 5pm so usually spam.

    Anyway,

    Groceries: £16.16/£25
    Petrol: £40.58/£55
    Entertainment: £7.75/£60

  • Thanks! One more day and I'm off work for a week! I can get through tomorrow. Wish boyfriend was coming next week but looks like it'll be the following week then he'll be right into the swing of Uni so it'll be weekends only and even less if I get this new job. But better than waiting months to see each other.

£4.50 on some lunch for today and tomorrow.

Rejected from a prolific study because my details were inconsistent and I shouldn't have been eligible? I've probably just put in my nationality wrong or something. It's 70p dude give it to me!

  • I'm on holiday :j:j

Boyfriend should be here in less than 2 weeks. His dad will be helping him take things over. So depending when he comes over, I may be able to meet his dad .

Applied for a few more jobs in case I don't get this one. It sounds really exciting and I could so do with the pay rise. I've never been the type of person to aim high, always going safe and not realising my potential.

Yesterday a client of mine presented me with a box of Quality Street to thank me for helping her out. I then went and bought coffee (I've been so tired lately??) and cake :o.

So whilst I'm already bored, day one into my 9 days off.. I have an opportunity next week and my boyfriend should be here the following week. So things to look forward to for once.. I just get impatient!

Since I have cake and chocolates and I've had takeout twice this week... I will update my weekly spends and savings as I won't be spending this weekend!!

    Groceries: £23.56/£25
    Petrol: £40.58/£55
    Entertainment: £7.75/£60

    Add £1.44 leftover grocery spends.
    Add £1 cashback.
    Add £6.90 prolific cash out.

    =

Savings In (since payday 20/8/19): £131.73
    Savings Out: 0 :j

    Emergency Fund: £1828.50
    H2B: £6784.95
    = £8613.45
