Well birthday is over! Almost spent it in A&E!! I was having very strange pain in my chest, shoulder and arm so was told by NHS24 to get checked out. He said it sounded neurological and to get an appointment with my GP. I stopped taking the pill I was prescribed on Monday and feel a bit better so wondering if it was that... will schedule an appointment with GP anyway.

Anyway, I got home in time for my bday. I got my haircut in the morning then went out. Boyfriend paid for our lunch and we got 50% vouchers for our next meal! We then went to the market and pooled some money together to go on a ride (that I was terrified of! It goes up really high and spins you round - not fast but it was windy and rocking so I hated it). I then had some cider whilst bf had this amazing baileys hot chocolate.

BF then paid for some snacks and food for later. We watched some TV together then had an early night. Now home making my tea. BF was going to come up but he has one assignment left and decided he's going to come up for Xmas eve- boxing day, yay! Don't have plans but maybe have a few drinks at a pub then relax for christmas day. Really do love this time of year.

Oh and his mom sent me birthday wishes even though she has her own personal things going on. It was nice of her to remember. I think I'll meet them at his graduation next year.

This one savingwannabe and lets say I just lay on bfs shoulder not really looking anywhere because I didn't like it. He did though :D As did the children on it. I normally really like rides but this one was just high and not at all fun lol. I think it would have been pretty if it was at night and it was all light up but still dark enough so you couldn't see how far up you were lol

Woops been naughty this Christmas going over my grocery budget but tbf it's Christmas and I needed snacks for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Will also need to pick up some tea time foods for this whole week. Meal planning has gone all out the window for Christmas so will be frozen convenience foods most likely. Spent £13.85 on groceries and household needs then £6 on a puzzle packet for BF and I for Christmas day, to break up all the cuddling and movie watching we'll be doing :p I received an email for a free monthly NowTv film package which is perfect timing, have an alarm set to cancel it before it renews. The movies aren't that great tbh certainly wouldn't pay £11.99 a month for it especially as I already pay for Netflix which has movies and tv shows.

Cashed out £6.20 prolific so swings and roundabouts really.

Back to work tomorrow, have lots to catch up with but also looking forward to only a 3 day week. Even better the following week I have a 2 day week as I have two half days plus the 1st and 2nd off. Cannot wait then it'll be full on heavy working after that.

I have this constant cramping all over my body. My fingers and feet cramp up over nothing and my right leg is constantly about to cramp if I don't move it carefully. It's bearable when I'm distracted and busy but is bothersome when it moves into my chest and shoulder. I know I'm looking at a few weeks until I get an appointment with my GP. I hate having to call up every morning and explain my symptoms and have the receptionist talk to me like I'm stupid - the A&E doctor sent through notes to say I need to see them ASAP due to concerns with my neurology/nerves so hopefully they see that and don't ask too many questions.

I hope this cramping is sorted v soon. I don't understand why the dr doesn't call you in? We have a triage system in our surgery and they would have called you in I am sure on the first day! Are you having tonic water? That is good for cramps.

Well done on the TV offer talk about perfect timing and as for Free CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HURRAH. I think it's good you spent extra on Christmas as you need to have some treats. Some people go bonkers and spend hundreds you have done v well.

Enjoy the rest of the day and good luck tomorrow.

  • I got an appointment on the 24th, he didn't seem to have a clue what it could be so has taken blood samples, given me quinine and told me to stay off caffeine. He said we can discuss any results at my next appointment on 16th January. I've been getting the pain in my right foot which is really uncomfortable and at the back of my head too. Doctor wasn't at all reassuring, didn't seem bothered at all. So I just have to put up with it until my next appointment I suppose, sigh.

BF was ill over Christmas. He was able to eat and play some games with me and watch TV but was full of the cold (and you know how men deal with a cold..) and tired. Today we went for a Christmas meal which was 3x the price we would normally get it for and wasn't even that great... We went bowling and to the arcade afterwards though which was fun, except for me getting hit by the air hockey puck and my pinky bleeding!! We played some more arcade games then I dropped him off. I paid for this using money my mum gave us to treat ourselves and still have some of that left however still going to include it in my entertainment budge. Hopefully he will be feeling better for New Year - we're just going to spend it together and maybe head out to the pubs for the bells.

Back to work tomorrow then the weekend off to catch up with my soaps!

Kind of looking forward to the Christmas period being over, my health is crap, my routine is out of whack, work is quiet and I'm feeling quite depressed and anxious about everything. Hoping things pick back up soon. They always do.

OMG poor you and BF, join the club we've all been ill. Still all being well we shall get better and move onwards and upwards.

Have a lovely weekend catching up with the soaps and hopefully the quinine will sort out the cramps sooner rather than later.

I have woken up with BF's cold and sore throat, how kind of him. I planned to go to Asda as I figure they'd have some deals on all the unsold chocolate but really can't be bothered to drive or be somewhere busy so Aldi it was where I spent £8.74 so in budget this week. I'm staying in all weekend I don't care what my neighbours think of that! I have a free use of NowTv films to use up ta very much..

My body feels mostly better with occasional twinges in hands and feet and I have a general soreness but much better. Not sure if it's the medication I'm taking or if it was pent up anxiety, probably a mixture of both.

Dentist Monday I usually get a clean which is around £12, hopefully that's all I need then work then more shopping for that week.

Oh yes today I received some free socks and a voucher for an innocent smoothie. Pretty random but I guess I entered a competition or for a freebie some time ago. Yay for free socks (they're long ones too! my favourite) and vouchers :j

Oh that's what I was going to add - so my smart meter went completely dead a few days ago. I went to submit meter readings to Bulb manually and noticed my night-time meter reading for my E7 hadn't moved at all so I contacted Bulb. All she said was "that is a mystery" then nothing else! I had to then ask her if that meant my meter readings were being sent correctly and she said she didn't know... ?? That's fine but why not try find out for me? So with Bulb it's one tarriff but if you're on Economy7 you still have to send the two readings but are both billed at the same rate. She asked me to sent a picture of my meter which I did then she checked my account and said apparently my "low tarriff" (don't think I'm supposed to have one??) is 9-5 on Sunday???? Still doesn't explain why the second reading hasn't gone up...... anyway.... she said to keep giving both manual readings and she would put a note that I have an "unusual tarriff".. she was not at all helpful and I really hope I don't get a massive night-time bill. Tbf I don't tend to use electricty through the night so not that worried. Sigh. I'm so sick of utility companies - no wonder people don't change, it's just so much hassle to get sorted. I think all this new technology makes things more difficult.
