Made another OP of £600 today to stave off the apathy - on the bright side adjustments are finished so my home is accessible but I’m £5k lighter! Luckily this was covered by the proceeds from sale of previous property!
Annoyingly my lender doesn’t seem to write to me to acknowledge OPs - by my calculations I have paid £1900 off I assume maybe £500 in interest added back on- I guess it will be a long wait to Xmas for my annual statement 😂😂 x

Annoyingly, my lender doesn’t acknowledge OPs so I have to call to get the balance - today was £125,784.82 - OP made to bring it down to £125,700 👍🏻

Back on the slow roll to payday here!
All expenses covered for the month so £600 op sent today.
My very rough calculation tells me that should keep me in the £124k bracket for good!

    Stay safe all

Time flies when you’re on an MSE mission!
Hope you’re all keeping safe and well!
I’ve been settling in to the new house whilst still trying to find my groove working remotely.
I’ve also had both doses of the vaccine and whilst the first one hit me like a truck I sailed through the second!
Decided it’s definitely time to get on top of the life admin and top of that list is the mortgage.
My provider confirmed my balance today was: £124,089.56 - swift OP sent to round it down to £124k!
    Not bad - 4k in 4 months!

Thank you, made easier by lockdown life and lack of commute etc!
Will be a massive challenge to try and maintain the momentum when visits/events are allowed!

Yes I understand that. I just frowned at the fact I had to put two lots of fuel in my car this month!! First time that’s happened for a year!

Time flies, been In the new house almost 6 months and the vast majority of home improvements are done (except very long term plans of new wetroom, extension and bedroom, these will most likely take years to save for!)
I still have £1k saved and been plodding along with OPs - have been using P.L.U.M app for saving, found it much easier than ynab!
Current Balance: £122,882.09 (I know - working on those pesky pennies!

Hope you’re all safe and well

    Hi All,

Exciting news: my partner is moving in in August! He secured a new job with a pay rise and we have agreed an amount he will pay me PCM.
We’ve also agreed that the mortgage will remain my sole responsibility and that he will not have an interest in the property going forward; in the process of formalising this with solicitor.

Will still OP but nothing major until everything settles down!

Hope you’re all safe and well.
