Welcome @puzzlecat - good luck on your goals, glad to hear I’m not the only one with such ambitious targets!
Waiting for my first official payment to come out on Monday and will try not to blow the budget during annual leave next week!

    Hi all,
I’ve struggled a little emotionally lately, overworking and lockdown and moving all caught up with me!
So I took it all out on the hallway walls and stripped the awful paper- hopefully that will motivate me to fix it ha!

I’m on annual leave this week and battered by fatigue so hoped to rest but the builders were delayed by snow so need to work and drumroll- got invited for my COVID-19 vaccine 🥳🥳
I don’t mean to sound ungrateful but I threw a major wobbly 😂 but got some perspective now!

In terms of the mortgage first payment came out yesterday 👍🏻 All downhill from here 👇🏻👍🏻

    Stay safe

Keeping the momentum going is a good thing to do.

Previously, I was saving up an certain amount over several months and then making the overpayment - now I discipline myself to make an overpayment every month. Overpaying used to be something I liked the idea of doing - now I DO IT!

    Good luck and onward!  :)

So true - I can be a major league procrastinator so sometimes I need a gentle ahem nudge to get going 😂👍🏻

500 Posts First Anniversary Name Dropper I've been Money Tipped!
I’m 40 and will be mortgaged free next week. Basically helped by inheritances. Also as I changed deals - I asked if I decrease my mortgage by a year, I got the figures and decreased it every 3-5 years and made the odd overpayment here and there.

    Congratulations 👏🏻 👍🏻
Excellent tip - I have kept my term long just in case emergencies crop up but the overpayments are essentially shortening the term 😊
