Should I challenge this postal PCN?

If you thought that, why are we even discussing the content?
It’s what Coupon_Mad told me earlier in the thread, he said he was confident it would be rejected.
But it’s also been suggested that I should edit the template letter to remove the bits that aren’t relevant to my case, which seems to be quite a lot of it. If I don’t understand the reason for including something it’s difficult to decide whether or not it’s relevant.0 -
I'm a she, not a bloke, but you are not the first person online to assume that!
You are making a mountain out of a mere stepping stone. No need to bust a gut over a first stage appeal, at all.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'm really sorry, I thought I had seen someone else on the forum refer to you using male pronouns! People always think I'm a bloke too, one time I was booking a plane ticket using my professional title and was asked "are you Dr X's wife or his secretary"?!! But I digress...
If the content of the initial appeal letter doesn't matter very much I'm going to write my own letter, using some of the key phrases from the template (not identifying the driver etc). I feel more comfortable with that.0 -
As already advised, you don't have to follow the advice here, but that appeal is tried and tested,!
Apart from ensuring that you don't make schoolboy errors that could disadvantage you it also alerts the PPC that you are using this forum and it's resources to deal with this.
Obviously please don't be asking us to check your appeal out for you!0 -
As long as the driver is not identified or inferred then do so if it makes you feel better
But at least 3 parking companies cancel when they see the template as they know the appellant has sought forum advice and they know a coupon mad template when they see it
But we also believe that most routinely reject appeals regardless of what is said
No point stressing over this stage, the regulars here have seen it all in 6 or more years of advising people, including the knowledgeable lady called coupon mad
The compulsion to tell a story and use words like "My, Me, Myself & I" seems overwhelming due to being taught English language and letter writing at school0 -
I'm just getting ready to submit the appeal and was going to do this via the CEL website as I read on this site that it was better to do it that way than by post. The form has phone number and email address as compulsory fields, I'm not sure it's sensible to give them that information?0

Use a arbitrary phone number.
Perhaps create a anonymous gmail email address specifically for this 'project'.0 -
Well I have good news to report, I submitted the appeal through the CEL website and today received a letter confirming the ticket has been cancelled!! Thanks to everyone on the forum who provided advice and encouragement, as I initially wasn’t even going to contest it!
In my appeal letter I used the basic clauses from the template letter but also emphasised the specific circumstances i.e driver had tried repeatedly to pay but the app didn’t work, left immediately once they realised they couldn’t pay etc.0
