UKPC - Leaving Site

OK, so UKPC have just added a small yellow note to the Jubilee Close Retail Park Car Park stating that people leaving the site may be fined.
I parked there earlier today as I needed to shop at B&Q as well as Sports Direct both of which are in this small retail park. I had no cash on me and so I walked to the nearest bank and returned to buy some 'No More Nails' from B&Q (I have the receipt) and buy some trainers (which were sadly out of stock).
Returning to my car I saw a UKPC plastic envelope on my windscreen which had a £60 fine enclosed. Many other cars had been issued with these tickets as the rules have clearly only just been changed and people tend not to check the signage every time they visit a local car park.
I have appealed my 'fine' ... or charge as it really is. I parked there in good faith to use the shops for which the car park is provided. I am not going to rant about the way these rules have been changed only to say that a clearer sign should be temporarily displayed, but then of course the revenue of UKPC would go down and that's not the idea is it.
If you know anyone who lives in Weymouth pls give them the heads up.

I have appealed my 'fine' ... or charge as it really is.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Yes I have sent the appeal
I have been 100% honest - I understand that I could have simply denied leaving the site and they have no real way of proving it.
I attached a copy of the B&Q receipt with my appeal0 -

Ok I'm not having a go about you for going off site but if you used a card to get cash why didn't you just use your card to buy the goods in the 1st place?

I wanted to also check the balance of my current account - I usually use cash because I find it hard to keep track of my spending if I use cards. The receipt from B&Q clearly shows CASH
I didn't actually state that I was the driver - I also didn't state that I was alone, in fact the driver could have been my wife and she could have easily gone straight into one of the stores.

And no doubt told them who was driving the car.
How classic, the appellant is honest and upfront in an attempt to get justice, yet users of the forum attack and attempt to humiliate them.0 -
Which parking company do you work for then?
You signed up yesterday - all your posts have been on the parking forum biut none of them are helpful
Do you have any comments regarding helping the people who receive these invoices then or are you here just to post dribble?TruthBandit wrote: »How classic, the appellant is honest and upfront in an attempt to get justice, yet users of the forum attack and attempt to humiliate them.“You’re only here for a short visit.

I am under no illusions about my limited chances of the appeal being successful.
I will then need to begin a POPLA appeal - how long will that take and what is the success rate?0 -

So far I'm not feeling a great deal of support here.
I left the site to PU some cash from a Service Till - I made a purchase from B&Q - what more is there to say?0 -

UKPC are fraudsters, read this

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so complain to your MP.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
