Quick update - doc appointment phone and it sounded like we were on speakerphone which I always find hard. Need to wait to see specialist, likely to be some months - I rang them as suggested & they had only just reopened.

I would talk to GP re MH. Lots of people to struggling due to lockdown. Don't have to say it is work related

  • Thank you savings - I did mention a couple of things on the call - but the speakerphone (?) Made it difficult for the conversation to flow properly I think and the GP just focused on the pain I'd got the appointment for which was quickly resolved with painkiller prescription (as expected) & contact specialist (again expected). I don't want the time off on my record at the moment with looking for a new job - there's the fear it goes against you ☹️ I am struggling through the days at the minute and may need to book time off using holidays instead 😬
I have been reading your thread & hope to catch up - your painting was stunning ❤️ do you have a blog as well?

  • Good morning all - I did progress a few things on my list yesterday. Tidied a bit and paid a bit off the card too - another £205 paid so balance now owing is £843. I need to pay as much off this month before payday then I can start on the next card to clear and close this one down when the balance is nil.

I spent ages trying to fix the computer yesterday and will have a look again later! I cannot carry on with my training (online) and even posting this is taking far too long to what it usually would.

I am a bit behind with work so will aim to make that up today and I am very much looking forward to the weekend. I need some time off really and have worked out i have about a week's holiday i could book but the thing that's putting me off is i will need that week as pay when i'm not in this job any more - so feel a bit like a holiday is impossible at the moment. i slept better last night because i hadn't slept well for the last 2 - pain and things on my mind.

I am still catching up with diaries and will post when i'm up to date with you all x

If you don't want time off for MH - there are still freephone and online counselling stuff you can access. It may be worth investigating them. I am in the process of setting up a blog but not quite there yet. Glad you liked the paintings though.

Thank you savings - I am going to try some self-help books first - I don't think i'm a very open person for counselling - far too guarded and not trusting enough to get anything out of it - issues in themselves.

    Good morning all
Well I'm hopeful i may have just fixed the computer issue - we will see. I'm not very technologically gifted.
Having slept a bit better last night I find I am very tired today and still have work to catch up on.
After that, a walk to the shop for grocery shopping and then i will see if there are any jobs to apply for and try and do a bit more of my course now i should be able to work on the computer.
I am also still catching up on, and being inspired by, your diaries on here.
I haven't investigated the bay of e yet, for extra income, because the bits I sorted to get rid of were worth pennies but useful to others so they've either been gifted or gone in a charity shop bag. 4 bin bags have left the house now (sat in the car waiting).
I want to try and complete my planning by the end of this week too - i made a really good start on it - i just need to finish it and also stick to the plan.
It has been interesting reading diaries and seeing about lives in lock down. We all have different experiences of it. A little update on us. Our household income is down by 45%. This has had the knock on effect that there are jobs we could do at home but don't have the funds to buy the materials for. We have had socially distanced chats with friends and relatives when we've been out for our exercise or when shopping for those who cannot get out to do their own. We have gifted various items to people - books to read, drinks to enjoy and clothes they like. We've chatted on the phone or texted friends more than before. Some friends have messaged me, whilst i'm working, simply saying they're bored - i have so many interests and things I do not have time to do but I am lucky i have these things i enjoy doing. Friends are fine financially (furloughed on full pay). I do find it hard, as I'm sure we all do, not being able to just go out somewhere and meet up with people but i think part of it for me would be as a distraction from work because it is on my mind so much. On that note i best set off now.
Have a good day all

  • Hello all
Thankfully the comp seems ok now so i have been playing catch up on my studies - i'm just having a little break now.
    Today i'd like to:
    finish my book
    tidy a little more
list something on the bay of e - i need some pennies to pay off my card!
finish this section of my course - obvs!
start on one of my MH books - naughtily ordered some using discounts or second hand.
    play some music
    do some writing
I had a mini success the other day - i went to the shop, and despite being tempted by reductions, i only bought what was on my list!! I was thinking of my monthly budget and keeping the spending as low as possible.
I am still reading diaries on here - gosh i have gotten far behind! And i hope to be caught up soon.

Well done on sticking to the list. I imagine your budget is really tight right now - hopefully helped a little by lockdown savings.
