I think encouragement is more the name of the game. Imagine if you got the job and the difference it would make. See yourself happily in the role and then apply.

  • Hello all - I'm sorry i'm so incredibly glum lately - lots going on and my head is just so busy with it.
Today I am working a standard hours shift and then when i'm home I intend to find more things to sell and at least write the listings (if the light isn't kind for the pics). At least this way I'll have done something productive.
£422 card balance (owe £38 more to this from current payment which means £384 fro usual £550 so £166 to start next card payment + usual + anything extra).
Time to leave for work. Have a good day all.

Hi Stripey - keep posting. Life is a struggle sometimes for all of us. You are plodding along and sometimes that is all you can do. It's still good.

  • Thank you savings - I was up at 4am this morning and noticed you'd posted very early - hope you're ok? I read for a bit then went back to bed and am of course very tired now - *yawn* I did manage to list a few things yesterday and will try and do some more tonight. Yet another very, very busy day in work ahead which I am very much not looking forward to. That coupled with other things makes me very glum indeed! I thought last night about how much time i was wasting being upset and unhappy about things - but it's not as though you can just flick a 'happy' switch and live merrily is it? ho hum.

  • I've just paid off the card I was focusing on - waiting for next month's statement to make sure it's completely clear and then i'll close it.
£3954.97 is the balance i'm currently working on. Just paid £222 off that - i had to put some unavoidable expenses on here which bumped the balance up a bit.
I need to do some cooking now but will update my other targets tomorrow at the latest.
    I hope everyone is ok.

Hi Stripey. When you're down (and tired!) it's incredibly hard to get the motivation to do anything, you are doing well to be listing things. It does sound like your job is impacting you a lot. I really hope you can find something that you're happier doing soon, it sounds like it would make a massive difference to how you feel.Well done for paying off the card :)

Well done on getting rid of one card. As the others have said you are doing well in challenging circumstances. You will get there.
